It’s kinda been hilarious watching him realize that 1.) running a platform totally free of any or even most speech restrictions and running a profitable business are incompatible and mutually exclusive goals, and 2.) the internet itself resulted in the freest speech we’ve had in the country’s entire existence (you can

Basically, Elon has become Shawn from The Bad Place...

Jesus, does that mean somebody is eventually going to Citizen Kane Elon, and we’re all going to have to watch it and pretend it’s some seminal piece of art (more like seminal piece of art)? It was bad enough having The Social Network. Although if there was a movie with just two hours of Rooney Mara absolutely clowning

The way things are going I almost expect Truth Social to end up acquiring Twitter somehow.

He’s pissed at Trump for not coming back to Twitter with glorious fanfare once he got unbanned. I’m sure Trump wanted too but I suspect there are contract with Truth Social that require him to stay posting there.

Sort of related, I’m surprised Truth Social is one of the banned ones.

I can’t help but feel this could have a negative effect on my Twitter account where I post daily facts about mastodons.

Pretty much any video about politics that isn’t far-right (at least from what I’ve seen) gets instantly flooded with garbage spam, and anybody who ACTUALLY comments gets reply-bombed with trolls and spam, so

Threads is for those days when you don't want something as light-hearted as The Day After.

Pfft, I’ve seen the behind-the-scenes videos; all he’s doing is filming a bunch of cotton balls stuck to a painting of a landscape while shaking the camera.

Kubrick filmed the moon landing, but was such a perfectionist he had it shot on location.

Terminator 2's nuclear bomb sequence was mostly practical.
