By all accounts she was a nice person, and I believe that, but.... holy moly is she the embodiment of villainy in The Manchurian Candidate. The whole movie’s good, everyone’s good in it, but Lansbury blows them all away.

I think if people hear “you are wrong” often enough and from enough different places then, at the very least, they stop screaming their ideas from every rooftop. I wonder why the purple raisins became the standard “raisin” when golden raisins are are FAR superior? I mean, I’m not a huge dried fruit fan, but at least golden raisins have a more complex flavor profile and are useful in a lot more savory preparations and better in sweet foods too.
