Spent $21k and you have nothing to show for it at the end? I’d never do that in a million years. You could have bought a BRZ new in 2013 and you’d still be able to sell it for $12-13k today with 100k miles on it. I don’t see a world where that lease deal makes sense.

Just my two cents, I find the primary concern among my peers for not buying a motorcycle is that other motorists scare the shit out of us. The arms race of SUV/CUV purchasing for vehicular safety mixed with the rise of distracted driving and frankly never having free time “just for a ride” has made my risk aversion…

maybe EVs in the future could have a internal socket the trunk where you can plug an emergency battery pack that directly drives your car, enough to reach the next station or away from danger

These are the Buick Reatta for Ford. It’s a nice-enough car, but not big enough for true touring and not sporty-enough to please the normal two-seat crowd, and not enough styling WOW factor to make people really enthused to be seen in it.
