Spent $21k and you have nothing to show for it at the end? I’d never do that in a million years. You could have bought a BRZ new in 2013 and you’d still be able to sell it for $12-13k today with 100k miles on it. I don’t see a world where that lease deal makes sense.

How else do you listen to music.  My music, not Pandora or whatever.  I'm picky AF...oh and cheap...that means no subscriptions.  So my CD collection it is.

Where is what will happen to this car:

That’s how they made it cheap. And its a sports car. As far as i’m concerned the formula for the perfect sports car is “Make it drive more ore less old school, but with modern performance and reliability.

When half the staff spends a good amount of time trolling the readership, it doesn’t portend well for things.

It’s a two-door sports car, what new technology do you absolutely have to have that this car doesn’t?

They REFUSED to publish my story about my Miata getting locked to a Supercharger! It’s been there 7 months, still on E.

It’s certainly not something I’d track but why do I have to drive an ugly commuter car? Driving an STI/EVO/GT350 on the streets is kinda silly isn’t it? What does it tell people? He’s driving a fast car but he’s only driving it slowly...

This article made me angry. It was an interesting setup that left me feeling dumber than I did before I clicked it. This is anti-content. I feel like you’re punishing us for continuing to click on these things.

How is it that the most boring of the 90s cars are fetching this kind of dough?”

This is really lazy Jalopnik. The questions should have been used by the staff as springboards for developing articles/research topics for them to answer with their writing style. Half of these were perfect for Tracy or Torch to answer and would have been entertaining adventures into the small nuances of the automotive

Come on, man you’re better than this!

This is an early April Fool’s joke, right?

I, on the other hand, am just averse to a mode of transportation that requires cosplay.

Just my two cents, I find the primary concern among my peers for not buying a motorcycle is that other motorists scare the shit out of us. The arms race of SUV/CUV purchasing for vehicular safety mixed with the rise of distracted driving and frankly never having free time “just for a ride” has made my risk aversion

maybe EVs in the future could have a internal socket the trunk where you can plug an emergency battery pack that directly drives your car, enough to reach the next station or away from danger

absolutely inefficient

I knew that all that was missing from this insane bubble of a market was a gig economy mobile EV charging startup. They just need to accept payment only in crypto currency and their slide deck is complete.

When the Leaf was brand new, I went to a Nissan test drive event. It was held in a large, open parking lot.

These are the Buick Reatta for Ford. It’s a nice-enough car, but not big enough for true touring and not sporty-enough to please the normal two-seat crowd, and not enough styling WOW factor to make people really enthused to be seen in it.
