Weird is an option? Ok hear me out here.

I had my left foot amputated after a run in with a copperhead in 2017.

The key here is that he surfs. So obviously a wagon is best - with enough room to throw short boards in the back, or strap long boards to the roof. You’re also going to want something that’s fairly low to the ground (trying to get a 9 ft board on an SUV is less than fun). The suggestions are good - I have a Fit that

On a side note, its insane to me that all of these manufacturers are busting their ass, building all of these brand new EV SUV’s left and right, but not a single one has released a hatchback or sedan to compete with a model 3 or something. How long are we supposed to fuckin wait?

Likely to be a BYD or other Chinese EV.

Oh gawd... the people that will approach in a parking lot and spew all kinds of “your car is actually worse for the environment than mine is” is nuts. And I’m in Canada! Where people are supposed to be polite.

I have no plans at the moment to replace either of my cars, but if the time ever comes, I’ve got some requirements.

- Small, no wider than 69" (I have a small garage, and the car will have to fit next to a motorcycle)

The irrational hatred of EVs and hybrids on social media is unbelievable. I’m in Florida and can spend a good portion of the evening “reporting to admin” in local groups - or just blocking trogs.

I am, however, not sold on the amount on anger and animosity I see on the road now. It’s almost like I’m flying a banner on the car inviting lifted trucks to drive aggressively and cut me off. I swear there are just a bunch of babies out there that see any avatar of change as a personal attack. Jerks.

I’m in the same boat, when I buy a car it’s for at least 10-15 years. I’ve got a few more years before I seriously start looking, and by then there should be some kick-a$$ looking EVs out there to chose from (new and used).

Volvo XC60 Recharge

Some sort of small or mid-size electric/hybrid. One of the kids will turn 16 next year and will use the minivan as their DD to/from school. We’ll get a smaller commuter to replace it.

Excellent choice!

We have a year left on our Fit lease. I’m not planning on buying it out, as much as I do like the car. So.... we’ll need something new. And it’ll almost certainly be electric.

Certainly an EV. After 18 months of Tesla ownership, I’m pretty much sold on an EV as a DD. I am, however, not sold on the amount on anger and animosity I see on the road now. It’s almost like I’m flying a banner on the car inviting lifted trucks to drive aggressively and cut me off. I swear there are just a bunch

If you had asked me this a couple of months ago, I would have said Kia Stinger. I have a while before I get anything, but have really wanted one of those since they first came out and good used one should be priced right by the time I get another car....

Electric. I’ll probably be coming from this same 2019 Chevy Bolt I bought in 2018 into...?

I got a Volt a couple of years ago and am not looking to replace anytime soon. (Want to run it for ten years.) Once its 5 year loan is paid off, we might look at replacing my wife’s Outlander Sport with something new, but that’s far enough in the future that while we’re keeping our eyes on a few things - Tucson

My wife and I have been discussing the possibility of replacing our Fiat 500 with an electric car, probably a Chevrolet Bolt. However, I’ve had nothing but bad experiences with General Motors products and our Fiat has been just about the most reliable vehicle we’ve had. We might keep the Fiat and buy a fun car for

I have a bit less than 4 years left of payments on my wife’s RX350. My Mustang daily driver will be 12 years old at that point, and ready to be relegated to weekend duty. So my next car purchase, barring accidents that total a car, will be in the summer of 2026. By that time I would imagine that buying any internal
