I tried reading this book recently as part of my project to read all the Hugo winners and just could not do it. I gave up about half way. The structure was hard to get through, and not worth it for a story that didn't grab me. It kind of baffles me that it can be a favorite of so many. (Besides, you know, that whole

There is nothing better or more entertaining to read than a properly written scathing movie review. This is why critics become critics. Nicely done.

Yeah, I would totally wear that Loki dress - it's my favorite of the bunch.

This is the common way that I have heard people who don't like cilantro describe it - that it tastes like soap.

Early September is more likely to be conception in the first couple weeks of December, not New Years. Don't forget, it's 40 weeks, which is really more like 9 1/2 months.

My life was forever changed when I realized I was probably the results of dad's birthday present to mom. Almost exactly 40 weeks after her birthday, there I was...

I just had my Mirena replaced yesterday and my doctor mentioned that they're charging the doctor approximately $700 per device these days and that they've gone up in price a lot recently. Just wanted to add some recent data.

Same here. I just had mine replaced yesterday (they take out the old one and insert the new one in the same appointment) and this is the first time I've had to use any feminine hygiene products in 5+ years. Life is so much easier this way, not to mention the dollar savings.

The problem is it's going to be eons before it finally comes out!

Do you think this will happen with regular scratches too, and not just weird single-point dents? I keep my current Nook in a case (and plan to get the new one) but it does occasionally get light scratches on the screen and I would hate to have them show up brighter than everything else every time I turned the light

Ahha. I read that one recently - because it was featured here on io9.com, and they spoiled the twist. I mean, I probably wouldn't have picked it up otherwise, but in retrospect I wished I knew nothing about it before reading the book.

Yes. Very much so. I would bet that words and phrases like "ninja" and "lifetime supply of toothpaste" were placed in there for that purpose. And that whoever crafted the question has a very strange sense of humor.

What novel would this be? I'm always on the lookout for new time-travel books.

I think "tomahto" is the memorable quote in this instance.

I was happy with my Nook ST. NOW I NEED THIS ONE INSTEAD. The only thing is that I have really gotten used to only having to charge it every 4-5 weeks, and even though using the light at night will probably only bring it up to once every 2 weeks, I still hate the idea of needing to do it more frequently. Honestly

Bad settings. You can change that.

My grandmother, for the last several years of her life, suffered from a form of the Capgras delusion described above, although she also suffered from depression and dementia so it wasn't completely on its own and don't know if it would be diagnosed as such. It also wasn't constant, it would come and go whether she

It has nothing to do with not being able to give up my "technology" - you just told me to read a book, but remember to save space, ALL MY BOOKS ARE ON MY NOOK. And sometimes it's far more than 20 minutes (at least on the take-off side).

How is it I never knew this? I worked there for a year in high school. I knew about Zesty's but not the library. I'm such an idiot.

Hi there, fellow Chelmsfordian. I was going to mention Zesty's Pizza, which got me through high school, but I am amazed I never realized about the Springfield Town Hall/Chelmsford Library. Especially since I worked there for a year. Hmmmm.
