I think The Dead Zone is fantastic as well, underrated, under appreciated (even if it's not a faithful adaptation, it still a better than The Shinning). Well directed by Cronenberg and a great performance from Walken. It's a shame the film has never been upgraded properly (and not available on Blu-ray in the US).

Agree, as a screen writer adapting his own work, his screenplays are weak -again, more set pieces and plot moving plot than characterization.

Not sure if he's helming the second part, but rumors suggest that filming begins in August or September. And yes, much like the 1990 ABC film, this second one focuses on the adults (with flashbacks to their younger selves).

Meh, as a Constant Reader (37 years), Pet Sematary is an okay book -no more ridiculous than Firestarter (Carrie 2.0) or The Tommyknockers. But the film was a huge disappointment, as King remains one of the most difficult writers to adapt. While some of his short stories have proven better (Stand By Me, 1408), the

As a long-time worker in the retail industry, it never surprises me that people don't pay attention to stuff. I've come to the conclusion that most shoppers are like this lady: an dumb as a box of hammers until they can prove me wrong. Mostly, though, what bothers me about this litigious activity is she just ordered

The bee's were subsequently released to take care of The Killers, cause crappy music with bland lyrics needs to be wiped off the planet.

What are the odds that the Christmas episode will also be a homage to "It's a Wonderful Life"? Seems since Doctor Twelve does not want to regenerate, the First Doctor comes to remind him why he fights, why he can't die, why he needs to become Doctor Thirteen

I have no issue with skepticism. But if you're going to say this all a hoax, then give us the evidence. Jones has given the world nothing, no shred of credible proof. It's speculation at best, but mostly alternative "devil's advocate" facts. And we've all learned "alternative facts" is a fancy word for bullshit.

While you may have a point (though you insult a large swathe
of people who would rather watch TV these days, where the quality truly exists),
the other issue is that Americans are clearly finding these tent-pole films, all
filled with sound and fury, but signifying nothing, are soulless and empty of creativity as a box

I never thought this show particularly preachy; it poked fun at the right and the left (though your mileage may vary when defining the word fun). I just saw it as Home Improvement II: The Next Generation. And while I knew both Allen and Patricia Richardson were both conservatives during the 90s run of their show, they

Another horrible writer who's success is simply based on the conceit that while he writes the same genre books as King, they're less complex and feature magical dogs.

Patterson -in TV terms- is the Executive Producer of books that come out. Someone else does the heavy lifting, the day to day drudge work on the novels that his publishers put out almost every week. But it's Patterson who takes home 90% of the profit.

CBS -the network where paralysingly dull, boring and tedious programming is number #1 in all the Neo-Nazi….I mean Alt-Right living rooms.

Yeah, I know. This type of show, like Two and Half Men, 2 Broke Girls, Mom, Mike and Molly, appeal to viewers from the shallow end of the gene pool, ones who think People Magazine actually constitutes "reading."

It's pedantic and it's humor is juvenile when it should be clever (as nerds have a tendency to be). But instead of being sly, instead of being funny, it offers stale jokes, canned laugh track, and paint-by-number plotting. It has all the appeal of a box of hair.

The real problem with this lazily written show is how it should’ve been the nerd version of 30 Rock (which, ironically, was nerdier than this show ever was/is). Insomuch that instead of being so broad based in its comedy –using the ubiquitous
premise of the actor setting up joke then the other delivering the punchline

The only thing that saves Selfie is Gillan and Cho, who are capable of rising above the contrived plotting (Henry just happens to need a date to a wedding that particular weekend) and painful attempts at slapstick.

I noticed this when I viewed it also. Yeah, it highlights both Marshall, CHICAGO & WICKED, but only theatre queens like my friends will understand they were the progenitor of this film adaptation.

Let us not forget James Patterson, who like the Animorphs writer, basically creates outlines and then hands them to other writers (whether they can write or not does not seem to hinder Patterson's choice). Even his early stuff, long before his name became a cottage industry for crap, was written by other people. Now

I trust Fuller -despite the preview which DID look like everything CBS airs (and at this point, last place NBC needs all the help it can get). I'm one the handful of people who adored all his series -well Dead Like Me fell apart after he departed half way through season 1.
