Well, yeah. The guys wielding the Trump flags and tiki torches all have moms and many of them have wives. Their moms drive their sons to these marches (to protest or to shoot people; looking at you, Kyle Rittenberger’s mom), and sometimes even storm the castle with them. Bigotry and hate is handed down from parents to

Mel Gibson?

It absolutely infuriates me how many trolls have been elected to Congress. There’s cell phone video of the secure room they were in (which was some sort of poorly ventilated bunker); one of the congresswomen was offering masks and some troll of a maskless macho man was saying “I don’t want to get political”.

Jayapal has tested positive. So....in addition to inciting an insurrection, the GOP are also using the coronavirus as a bioweapon. Will there be enough congresspeople available to vote on the impeachment? Can they vote remotely?

Some of his supporters in Congress are getting hit in the wallet too. Apparently Marriott (the hotel chain) will stop all political contributions/donations to any of the GOP folks in the House and Senate who objected to the electoral voting. More of this please.

Your area is stunning and your pictures are beautiful.  What kind of camera do you use?

I’m really hoping for some CONSEQUENCES for these people. The women who drove the caravans and booked the rally, and the men that did the violence, and of course, the corrupt hateful politicians that incited this madness. The impeachment process has to get rolling fast, while everyone is furious, before all the horror

There were definitely Capitol police that were in on it. Rooting out the Trumpist corruption in the police (and the Secret Service....Biden’s smart to bring back agents that he knows personally) is going to be tough. But the scary thing is the corruption in the military.

A friend of mine got me something similar for Christmas; I call it the Tesseract because it is a cube.  It can cycle through colors or just sit at a selected one and it has a tiny remote.

Are you me? Because, same. We had no problems with the “dating a coworker” thing because we were at similar levels in different divisions and fairly discreet. And we were both rational adults when it ran its course and ended.

...now that I think about it, maybe Mitch told Elaine to step down to stymie the 25th amendment effort that is being pushed by a lot of people.  Which depends on the cabinet.

I’ve heard that one person died when he was trying to put a Trump banner in place of a US flag. Shimmied up the flagpole, fell down, went boom. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

Yeah, I’m less than impressed by Trump admin folks who are resigning “in protest” of what Trump fomented yesterday. You a-holes were going to be out of a job in 14 days anyway, and you saw what he’s been doing for the past 4 years....and only NOW you have the “courage” of your “convictions”? Elaine Chao just resigned.

Yup. I put on my “ITMFA” t-shirt tonight. I bought it in 2019. I guess now the A stands for AGAIN.

“Her husband says she was a strong supporter of President Trump, and was a great patriot to all who knew her.”

I’ll bet a lot of those guys who attacked the Capitol police have “back the blue” bumper stickers on their trucks.  So much for “law and order”.

THAT’S why Trump had his last minute purge and re-staffing of the DOD.  So he could fill it with lackeys who would look the other way while his goon squad rioted.  (Although....Trump’s really not a 4-D chess kind of guy)

“one really has to question her need to be photographed in one of Miami’s restaurants, with the state just adding an additional 11,000 cases to its catastrophic 1.3 million total”

This. The public does NOT need to know about your waxing regimen, dude.

Yeah, last I checked “Congress” includes both the Senate and the House. And Matt Gaetz is in the House. His face is way more punchable than Hawley’s.  (And as for the Senate, I think Ted Cruz takes the backpfeifengesicht crown.)
