Young people often struggle to be seen seriously in the work place. I would not have wanted the bosses at my first couple of jobs to come over to my house to look through family photos. Her boss having access to these kind of pictures may undermine the professionalism she is trying to achieve at work.

Sara? Or did they go full on Sara Lee?

“my mom’s name is Mrs. Sillymonkey, not funnymonkey”

Fair enough.

Ha! No, but I bet if we sat down for long enough we could find a mutual acquaintance.

Oh man. I feel you. This week, my therapist recommended a book of daily meditations. I had to put my foot down. I was like, “I still haven’t tried the yoga that you mentioned 2 weeks ago. I started journaling, but am finding myself staying up extra late at night to do it, which makes me more tired the next day. I

You keep coming back to that sticking point of easy vs. hard, which was not what my post was about at all. The point is that “regular” people are amazed at how passive it can be.

I didn’t take this as “regular people don’t exercise”, but rather as “if you are wearing workout gear walking down the sidewalk in the middle of the afternoon on a Tuesday, it says something about your life.”

But, but, it’s all about prioritization! (That’s a line I hear on EVERY article about health/fitness/weight).

Do you really not understand the fascination with the assistants/chefs/trainers? I haven’t read anyone here saying that it’s impossible for them to work out and eat well. I’m a former really-in shape person, and a currently not-totally out of shape person. I recognize that it’s all about priorities and that as I have

I know a lot of people can wear leggings, many of my friends, even those who see clients, wear outfits with leggings. But, to me, there’s a difference between a legging-based outfit and a “athleisure” outfit.

To me, the point is less “you have to be wealthy/have lots of free time to workout” and more “you have to be wealthy/have lots of free time to wear workout clothes as a daily outfit.”

My initial reaction was shock that it’s even allowed. I’m not sure why, but I didn’t think it was (clearly I’m wrong). And yes, I definitely agree that they are taking a risk that may or may not pay off.

Trump is a cancer, the hate he spreads is vile. When Klan members are praising you and your policies there’s something seriously wrong.

I get it, this most likely wasn’t an embarrassing purchase. There are a few scenarios where you could imagine it would be slightly uncomfortable (maybe she was giving it as a gift, and the recipient now knows how much she spent, or maybe she was going to wear it somewhere super fancy where $80 jewelry doesn’t cut it),

Wait, did you just edit out the last name stuff so that my reply to you looks nonsensical?

Haha, no worries. I doubt they monitor closely, and I can always go with the “I meant Jimmy JOHNS” defense (which is what I thought you actually meant at first)

Um, the caption of the picture was

Heck, I’d even be embarrassed if someone posted the amount of cheese I buy.

I’m not a fan or hers, or of Donalds. I agree that he’s the worst, and any positive thoughts I might have had about her have been washed out by her being so active in his campaign.
