I totally agree, I can’t believe all the blame being thrown around on this girl and her friends. Obviously, this situation could have been avoided if any one of several parties had made different decisions. Why do so many people insist on making it known that they blame her (or her friends)?

I was cringing when I got this notification (all I could see was “The “you’re aware you get bigger when you’re pregnant” argument...”) and I was waiting for to be lecturing me on my dumb analogies.

Well, I guess I’m thoroughly confused then. You’re original comment was that calling someone “So big!” was cool if they were aware of the fact.

I don’t agree the analogies were bad. “Now, I’m aware this analogy isn’t perfect” /= bad. (I guess maybe you live your life where everything that isn’t perfect is bad, but I don’t)

I don’t agree. In both situations, I would maybe mention it if I didn’t already know. Like if I showed up for drinks and my friend was visibly pregnant or missing a tooth, I might ask (but would more likely just wait for them to bring it up).

You are aware you’re bigger when you’re pregnant, right?

“The season 31 roommates are named Sabrina, Chris, Kailah, Dean, Jenna, CeeJai and Dione.”

That has strictly to do with the genetic material in the egg. Although I would guess that older women might have more risks of other pregnancy-related complications. I know that gestational diabetes/high blood pressure are things that happen to women a lot, and since older women have those conditions more commonly, my

I was providing additional reasons since you could only think of three. These are two additional reasons women might perform this job for low pay. But as long as we’re on the subject...

But to pretend like the association with professional football players, celebrities, etc isn’t a big part of the reason many people want this job (and it’s just about the sport!) doesn’t strike me as quite right either.

4. These women are young and being an NFL cheerleader is something they’ve dreamt of since they were little.

If somebody is dumb enough to work for $5 per hour, while being treated like shit, then shut up already

these women, who can be super fans of the franchises they cheer for

They work. Pay them.

My guess is you’re probably right that no one is doing it as their only source of income (unless they are otherwise subsidized by parents/spouse). BUT, you can’t just say, “hey, it’s a part time job, and having it means you’re talented otherwise, so we’re not going to pay you.”

Ah, I see what you’re saying. I agree that I wish that there was more of a focus on rehabilitation, especially with juveniles. However, this accident wasn’t even this kid’s first alcohol related brush with the law. I guess I kind of figured that showed that the first time a judge gave him alcohol classes wasn't

Yes, 100%. But the whole point is that is a bs excuse for killing people. And the fact that if a poor kid of color tried that argument they’d be laughed out of court...all the way to a harsh jail sentence.

Nobody’s at their best when they don’t feel well; it’s not uncommon at all for hospital staff to have to deal with a “difficult” patient who doesn’t understand what’s happening and/or is being loud and belligerent about treatment

if I mention any sort of illness or injury

You’ve already gotten a million replies, so I’m not sure if you’ll even see this...I’ve read through most of the replies and responses and it seems like you’re a great mom with a good relationship with your son.
