Y'know, it's really funny you should say that. I'm planning on picking up a Focus ST in the next few weeks, and recently learned that you can actually hook a USB modem into one of the two USB ports in the car for things like traffic (and to make the car a hotspot apparently). FreedomPop just released a new USB modem,

Just saw somewhere on their website now that they also have a 3G/4g combined USB modem too. I've got the hotspot, but if you are only using it for the computer, the modem may be good.

If you get the 3G option, it really does open up a lot more coverage, since it runs off sprint's network. That said, I was looking earlier and Sprint's LTE coverage is better than their 4g (WiMAX) coverage as well. Might see if I can trade up to the LTE hotspot they offer soon. Still, love my freedom pop.
