Funny enough, she has done that same exact thing when it comes to partying/drinking/drugs.

I honestly wouldn’t rail on you, I know from experience and said in my post that getting resources for family members is sometimes hard to get for various reasons. I’m sorry about your mother, though, that’s a really sad situation all around.

Legally blind woman is a serious hoarder to the point where family didn’t notice this skeleton for YEARS. Seems like he’s not the only one that was out of sight and out of mind. I know resources to take care of family members are sometimes hard to find, but that breaks my heart.

They’re in love, goddammit!

Do you still get an asexual vibe when she’s with Karlie, tho?

Agreed. I don’t blame them for wanting to send her to a new school, but something about asking for free money to do it is rubbing me the wrong way. (I also question putting a kid in front of TV crews for this purpose but that’s a different issue I guess.)

I very much agree. I was super disappointed with 1989, but Red (closely followed by Speak Now) is great.

I disagree. Most pop songs are like Katy Perry’s: Cliche, really obvious rhymes, not much imagery or meaning. But I think Taylor has a really good grasp of metaphors and can paint a picture of a scene really vividly in some simple, clever turns of phrase that most pop artists - let me emphasize it again: pop artists -

I’m a TS conspiracy theorist and I think she did that intentionally as a subtle fuck you to Katy and her 9 songwriters.

I’m crying.

Taylor has a history of mimicking other people’s sound/style (Dear John with some Mayer-esque guitar riffs comes to mind) so I thought that was intentionally. I agree that KP should give her a taste of her own medicine, too.

I can’t wait to hear Katy’s new songs because normally her hits (which any song about Taylor would surely be) have extremely simplistic cliche lyrics and I really want to see how many things she rhymes with creepy. So weepy, she smells like peepee, she goes by T-Swifty?

God, I love them. I saw them recently at a cheesy St. Patrick’s event and they were too cool.

Her song Firework has this line that says Do you ever feel/ like a plastic bag/drifting through the wind/hoping to start again but I guess that is a pretty, uh, simplistic summary of AB...

I always thought that lyric was an American Beauty reference but that seems at odds with the song’s message, right?

TSwift is in Australia now, too, I love it!

Exactly. Given the state of Rio and its dirty water and broken dreams, there will probably be lots of plastic bags in the audience needing some encouragement.

Right, Katy has songs like Firework about how even a plastic bag can achieve its dreams.

You’re the 3rd person to mention it, and I thought it sounded pretty similar, too. Highly recommend The Lucifer Effect if you’re interested in that dark side of human nature, though, word of warning, the first chapter is ROUGH. I read things I wish I could forget.

Thank you, I’ll definitely check it out.
