It may sound crazy, but Destiny right now is, from what my friends say, a much more rewarding experience than The Division.

Perhaps, but this IS Ubisoft we’re talking about.

Don’t get me wrong - someone using an aimbot, or other crazy stuff you can do on PC should absolutely be punished. Someone who camps an enemy that keeps spawning and dropping gear is not even remotely in the same league.

Not everyone spends their life on Kotaku, or Reddit, or anything though. Unless they’re making announcements IN-GAME, then for some people, it’s always going to be punitive.

There’s a vaguely analogous situation for Destiny. Actually three.

Understand? Yes. Valid? No.

Is it wrong? Is sitting in a spot where a known enemy keeps respawning and killing him and getting the drops wrong? If it were so wrong, clearly Ubisoft wouldn’t have had that enemy respawn, no?

Oh trust me, Massive and Ubisoft have made it clear that their contempt for players goes beyond what I consider acceptable for a company.

That’s probably the least offensive solution for everyone.

Which is why The Darkzone was always going to be a shitshow. The moment they started talking about it a lot of us recognized this would be a terrible experience for most players. If you weren’t an early adopter, you’re fucked either way.

That’s a ridiculous analogy and you’re grasping at straws to defend a shitshow of a game at this point.

Ubisoft should patch it as soon as possible to minimize impact, but they shouldn’t punish players for Massive’s shitty QA. Period.

It’s uncanny how much this mall looks like Northpark Mall in Dallas, which was opened in 1966.

Nope. Sorry. You do not punish players who exploited a terrible bug you let slip through. You fix the bug as fast as possible, but you DO NOT punish players for taking advantage of your bad QA.

Who said anything about exact replica? It simply doesn’t FEEL like Doom. It lost the core characteristics of a Doom title.

This is going to work out so well for this guy.

Which is fine, it’s just not for me, or any of the people I keep in contact with that played it with me.

Did you play the beta? Because the movement and play style is nothing like the Doom I grew up on.

If I were married to Emily Blunt, I probably wouldn’t be as into Jenna as she was into me either.

This is very cool, however I don’t think any fans of the original Doom will be picking this up. Because seriously? It’s nothing like Doom.
