And one for amphibious cars called Boatswagen.
And one for amphibious cars called Boatswagen.
I’m guessing this is an April Fool’s joke that accidentally got posted early.
Duh. Tractor beam.
I work at a hobby shop, and we have several of those Lone Ranger Lego sets. They’re priced about the same as similar sets from more popular franchises. The difference is that I’ve never seen a single customer show any interest in them, much less actually buy one.
I really wish someone would make a good modern Western, just to knock The Lone Ranger out of the position of “the last big-budget Western”.
This is the best example of retro styling in a long time. The front does a great job of evoking the original 240/260/280Z, and the taillights are a near-perfect ‘90s 300ZX imitation. I can’t quite put my finger on why, but it looks infinitely better than the concept car. (Could just be the color - I really, really…
Sigh.
This. Hollywood hasn’t figured out that it’s not the ‘90s anymore. Guys like Snyder haven’t looked at used car listings in decades, and unthinkingly assume that today’s old shitboxes are still of ‘60s and ‘70s vintage, when the reality is that we’re two full decades into the 21st century, and late ‘90s/early 2000s…
This reminds me of a joke from Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me quite a few years back. They were talking about a collision between a tank and a Toyota Yaris (amazingly, no injuries), and that the total damage was estimated at $20,000, or almost exactly the price of a Toyota Yaris.
yes YES YES
This is one of the coolest concepts I’ve ever seen. My only real gripe is all the shiny touchscreens and stuff - with any truck, I tend to evaluate it on the basis of “will this still work and look good when it’s all dirty”. I can’t see touchscreens and off-roading being a good combination.
The truck itself is kinda neat (except the stupid spikey bumpers), but the patches on the console are... concerning.
If it’s not, it should be.
I love the Soul. It’s a small, cheap, efficient, practical car that doesn’t look like a misshapen blob. I’m still on the fence about the stormtrooper face on the newer generation, but it still looks better than most econoboxes these days (or anything Toyota’s making - they seem to set the standard for ugly economy…
Or even just write new material to replace offending lines. “The Chinaman who eats with sticks” could easily be replaced with “All Republicans are dicks”.
That description is somehow worse than seeing the actual picture would have been. Well done.
I’m still holding a two-decade-long grudge against GM for the EV-1 debacle, but I have to say, this looks like a pretty solid little car. The charging issue isn’t that bad for most people’s daily use (how many fast charging stations can handle more than 55kw at this point anyway?) and it sounds like a pretty much…
For crying out loud, Jeep. Just call it a Wagoneer and move on. Just because you’ve been doing something shitty for a long time doesn’t mean you have the right to continue doing it.
I’m skeptical of the science behind this. Burning anything (except maybe hydrogen) produces CO2, and no amount of synthetic wizardry can change that. The only carbon-neutral fuel is one derived entirely from plants (the carbon output is limited to what the plants themselves consumed during their lifetime, so as long…
Peter Panelgap hasn’t missed a single day on the job.
