I laughed pretty hard at him chiming in "piano fingers," when Vernon was talking about bullshit reasons for having a pot card.

Should I be ashamed to think that Ben Affleck is a solid, not fantastic actor who gets a lot of unearned shit? People seem to fucking hate him around here.

I'll defend Bonequeef, and say that as lacking as that character is, the comedian playing them is a good improviser and is funny in the other segments

Tig Notaro did.

Episodes really drag when the improv character is bad, but when they're good, it's usually by far the funniest part of the show. So I say take the good with the bad, I guess?

I've been binging all of Transparent lately, so given that, I'm gonna be very up in the air about how I feel about Alfred arguing that as long as supports their civil rights, it's ok for him to exercise his free speech, saying that he finds transgenderism weird. It comes across as the show's point of view, and it's

I saw this on Twitter, but Montague was definitely Don Lemon, right?

I only wish that Neil Campbell was in the episode for even more Time. Hopefully he'll recur.
Also Gina saying that Paul Hogan was acting like a bitch on Twitter was the funniest moment of the ep.

Season 8 was my introduction to Aziz Ansari. I remember being mad that he left to be on Parks and Rec, which is funny cause it was very clearly the right decision.

AV Club's Music section still leaves a lot to be desired. No review of Solange's fantastic new album? I'm not sure that she'll ever escape being primarily known as Beyonce's sister, but this album should, on a larger scale, get her noticed on her own terms. It also got me to revisit Losing You, which was one of the

The perfectly paced build to Interpol's Untitled. Also, the guitar line to Hey by the Pixies.

Have you listened to their live albums? Daft Punk definitely seem like they would create a much more unique experience than just hitting play on their songs. Also, I'm sure they'd enlist cool people like Nile Rodgers or even Pharrel to hit the road with them.

I always want more Sam. It could be a situation where the writers know how to deploy him, and that he could grow to be irritating if used much more.

Man, this episode really lost steam at the end. Up to and including the fireworks scene, I was thinking it was going to be a definite A, but then it really pushed the premise so far that it broke. I know the ridiculousness of the hunt and the let down of the speakeasy was the point, but it fell pretty flat for me. The

Understandable, as there's a lot to unpack in each episode. It would be cool to discuss it in the comments sooner, but there's probably not enough commenters to warrant opening the thread early though.

Or a Zombies-Beatles supergroup! With songs like This Will Be Our Yer Blues and Care of Cell 64

Have we gotten an explanation as to why these reviews come out so late?

If Figgis is captured, does that mean Pimento can come back? Can Jason Heynongmantzoukas please become a full time cast member?

There's a hyper-stylized preview that played on NBC a lot recently that looked a lot better than what I expect the show to be. It might be enough to get me to check it out

Kinda surprised that MPG is kinda crushing it. His locker room speech, while coming close to cheesy/cliche a couple times, ended up being the highlight of this episode.
As a whole, this show has promise, but so far it's been kinda jarringly unsubtle. Hopefully it will end up being a little more naturalistic, and stop
