Good call on McGruber

The backlash against Juno has been super real. I don't think it deserves to be here, but I find the hatred people have for it to be amusingly ridiculous

He still dating Jane the Virgin?

When I saw it in theaters, I was not ready for how dark it was going to be. I didn't dislike it, but it took a couple viewings before I understood its greatness.

Just glad Walk Hard got remembered

Here with your periodic reminder that Observe and Report deserves a much greater level of cult status than it already has. Michael Peña gives one of my favorite comedic performances ever in it, so hopefully they found a role for him in this show.

Who taught you math?!?

I like the cast enough to watch it at some point, but with the absolute bombardment of advertising, I'd find it hard to believe if there are many, if any jokes that have not been spoiled by trailers/ tv spots.

Can't wait for this feature to cover The Wire, and have a war break out in the comments section for s3 v s4

I think it's actually more common for shows to gain their legs in their first season, and then take off as they get more comfortable. But yeah, I think this idea for a feature is great. It can combine TV Club Classic with TV club-covered shows that could deserve another look.

The Wavves show I went to was a really fun time, so good thing I'm not an asshole

Blasphemy. I like Looper and T2 pretty equally, I think. But in no way is Looper a better Terminator movie than T2.

For real? This is what we're getting instead of an actual review of the 2 episodes from last night? I'll talk about them though:

Can I just say that it's fucking bullshit that hey cut off Comedy Bang! Bang! reviews the week before the midseason finale and 100th episode? It doesn't make sense

The cracks start to show a bit in 5, but there's a stretch towards the end, including My Lunch, that's as good as the show had ever been

If anything, watch 1-5, skip 6&7, and finish with 8. 6 may have had a couple good episodes, but 7 was terrible

Bobby Cannavale looks way too young to play Josh Brener's father, right?

I will say that, while I enjoyed it very much, it jumped out to me that Lancel chasing the boy to the wildfire was narratively pointless, and it bothered me a little bit.

I was thinking when Humphrey (that's really his name?) was bringing Maritza into the house, that it was gonna lead Coates to stopping him from raping her, but they went the psycho-sexual torture direction.

McG's reading of "tall man" was surprisingly hilarious
