I just rewatched all 6 movies over the weekend with my daughter. We were both dying of boredom through the first 2 movies.

I came into this show when it first premiered all about Coulson. But damn if Iain De Caestecker and his performance each week isn’t the best thing about this show. Seriously, every scene he’s in he’s like a god amongst men compared to the rest of the cast...and the rest of the cast is killing it too.

I’ve discovered that competition really helps. I have a friend at work that was doing NaNo as well, and so the competitive asshole in me worked really hard to stay ahead of her in word count. She then bought an XBox and trailed off, but that was the impetus I needed to get through the first part of my story that felt

The year I actually won I alienated my family and friends by forcing myself to write all the time to the exclusion of so much other stuff. Worked to get the novel done, made December a pain in the ass, though as I tried to make it up to everybody...

This is the only time I’ve picked up a premium channel just so I can watch a show as it is broadcast. So, yeah, I’m excited and this news just made my day.

When did Cap become such a creeper?

What really sucks is that I had gotten so used to that feeling that Glenn was going to die that when it happened I just sat there stunned. I didn’t know what to do, and didn’t (and still can’t) believe they did it. I don’t want this. I just don’t want this.

I thankfully saw this online before halftime and the Star Wars trailer. That way I could laugh, and get excited and not feel like I was cheating on Star Wars.

I, for one, loved that second Frankenstein poster.

Honestly him dying while saving the Enterprise B in the beginning was enough to tie the two generations together. And that death would have meant a lot more than what we got. Having him in the Nexus and Picard having to “rescue” him was unnecessary.

Look it’s bad. I mean just horrible. And yet, dive bombing exploding birds are so much fun....

The Force can just wake up already, thank you very much.

I didn’t love it as a whole because the episode could have been trimmed about 30 minutes without sacrificing any of the story we got. But I did love the concept and some of the moments. The slow build to what will inevitably happen was definitely the way to go. And when they did ramp up the horror aspect (especially

I know I’m in the minority when it comes to Tom Bombadil, but I was immediately taken with him when I first read the books (oh god I read LOTR for the first time 29 years ago....that sudden realization just made me feel really old).

There are two things I point to as disappointments they didn’t make it into the movies. The first is Tom Bombadil. I know it makes sense considering how the story was chiseled down, but I have always loved that part of Fellowship and always wanted to see that done. The second and more unforgivable subtraction was the

I, for one, welcome our new insect overlords.

Well so much for work today, I’m just going to put this trailer on loop and spend my day dreaming of what we’ll get in November...

Okay yeah, definitely on board with the idea of resurrecting this show. However only with Lucy Lawless as Xena, and I would really rather it was on a cable network than broadcast TV.

Ha! I just looked it up and for some reason I read The King of Shreds and Patches as two different titles, not one.

Thanks for the heads up I’ll look for both of those. As far as The King in Yellow I’m reading the organ one now and it is a decidedly pleasant way to be on the receiving end of a mind fuck.
