Final Fantasy VII when Red XIII learns the truth about his father. I was a freshman in high school and I bawled like a small child.

Star Trek is one of the few works of popular fiction that makes the argument that humanity is good, that in the future we will be better, and that our potential is as boundless as the universe that we will one day leave the Earth to explore.
This list was losing me till the Deep Space Niners showed up in their correct place at #1.
Don’t toy with my emotions like this, French ecommerce websites.
YEEEEEEES!
Here’s my problem. Mt. Greylock is really not close to Plymouth. The Mountains in MA are on the other side of the state. Like, she must have been wandering for a while before she got there. The story makes it sound like they’re right next to each other.
These guidelines are so weird and they’re such a bummer. I love fan art, fan fiction, web series. I love that we live in an age when fans are in constant creative dialogue with the people who create the stuff they love. So it bums me out when the people/entities who own those things make moves to shut down…
I just want them to post something that says “We know there are problems and they will be fixed at x time.” Instead I’m sitting here freaking out.
I’m such a sucker for Maine. Beautiful, rolling forests that change from deep green in the summer to orange and red in the fall, the stark rocky coast, snow capped mountains, and tiny little red brick or gray shingled New England towns.

Shore Troopers: The Jimmy Buffet fans of the Star Wars universe.
I love the range of monsters. From “What a silly looking thing” to “holy shit they put that on a kids show?”
“Kiss Me” sung in the original Klingon.
The Gringott’s ride is pretty great too. I think it’s probably better than the Simpsons’ ride. Even without the rides, those Harry Potter parks are incredible. They’re almost too good. The theming there is so strong, and the attractions are cool, and the whole thing is just so dang immersive that the rest of the park…
I think this one works only if you believe in the version of America where America is an awful place full of jerks.
I mean they’ve had their moments. Magneto and Dr. Doom both took over whole countries. Ultron killed a whole country. Dark Phoenix ate a sun. Thanos killed a whole universe.
“We sent in a bunch of drones to kill a terrorist but accidentally blew up a hospital. You know, just some fun stuff.”
I may be in the minority here, but I’m sort of bored with “superheroes fight other superheroes” as the crux of these big event comics. Civil War, Avengers vs. X-Men, Civil War 2, Schism, World War Hulk, even Secret War a little (lots of Doom’s allies were heroes). I get it: it’s fun! Iron Man vs. Cap! Cap vs. Cyclops!…
Snyder’s use of the word “fun” makes me glad he pursued filmmaking instead of politics or medicine or any other career path.
On the one hand HOORAY!
