I posted some stats a few airplane articles ago. In the past 25 years, ~55 people have died in the US in incidents related to commercial airline aviation. About a million have died in motor vehicle accidents in the same time period. Perspective indeed.

For the life of me, I can’t figure out why the obsession with re-inventing the gear shifter. The gear shifter as we know it basically is from the 1910s when they standardized the pedals. Stick on the steering column, dash or floor.
