There are other solid front axle designs out there - but they’re pretty much all on heavy duty trucks. Jeep brought this on themselves by marketing a niche vehicle to the masses. Call it cosplay, call it whatever - but lots of people who don’t necessarily want to go off-road to anywhere near the extent that they’d

I’m stealing this line...lol.

I hear they’re even more delicious dipped in paste.

Just off the top of my head

So Volvo is going to be forced to let dealers price its subscription option?

Yeah apparently the 2020s are just a reboot of of the 1920s. Dada, robber barons, post-pandemic life, rising fascism, we’re just gonna do it all again.

I mean, times are highly dependent on the driver. You could put me in a P1 and an F1 driver in a stock Miata and I would probably get whooped on most any track other than a really high speed easy to drive track.

Have these people never heard of those little discs of cleaner actually designed for this purpose? I have no idea how well they worked, but this doesn’t seem like much of a “hack” in any sense of the word, unless it is being used as “this tik tok person is a hack”.

So people want to just pick & buy the car, but they still hate the dealer experience (which is still required for basically every order).

I agree, any car on the track is fun. But I was more trying to understand the “secret track weapon” statement. Hard to know if that is even close to true without more info.

Without knowing the distance each timed portion is we have nothing to compare these time differences too. The Turbo NC either had a bad driver, wasn’t pushing or is being compared to a really short timed period. Turbo NC would be pushing 200hp and should be way faster than a 84hp i-miev.

You either die a hero or you live long enough to see Jezebel stop hating Anne Hathaway.

Jezebel talking about the people who targeted Anne Hathaway back in the early aughts.

I dunno, this seems more like Minesweeper to me?

That is correct. At least with the 1970s-1990s GM cars I was familiar with between what my parents had when I was a kid and what I had as a teen to an adult driver (my last GM car was a 1993 Pontiac Firebird T/A). Basically there was a slide for the 1970s-1980s GM vehicles that had three A/C detent options that were

Cockroaches, lice, and bedbugs: We aren’t friends with this asshole.

No I have to turn the AC on separately if I want to use that. Removing moisture is usually not necessary because I’m defrosting my windshield on a morning when it’s 20 degrees and 15% humidity. The removing moisture thing is only useful in the early winter and early spring when it’s chilly and raining or warm and wet

Yes, virtually every car that has A/C automatically turns on the compressor when you switch to defrost.

It’s good to know in case your car doesn’t, but I believe most cars A/C automatically starts when the defrost is on.
