Pole vault.
This is a lot more interesting than a Hummer H2 with ridiculously large wheels
Hi, Dake! Check this video about season one production.
You will notice that they made the ship’s bottom level and landing gear. The top level and engines are added with cg effects. And I guess that cockpit scenes are filmed somewhere else.
Keep in mind that you have very, very limited anecdata. While for now most appear not to get symptoms, those who do are not limited to old or immuno-compromised people. Such as a young active serviceman on the USS Roosevelt who died from it.
Did you have it? I did. It honestly wasn’t that big of a deal. Mind you, I’m middle-aged and in good health with little contact with the world to begin with, so my symptoms were super mild. Quarantining was a bit rough. But I recognize that it IS a big deal for a LOT of other people, just not me.
Not even a virus wants to be inside Rand Paul.
E-85 was 12 cents more than regular unleaded here on Saturday, based on a sample size of 1 station.
That’s interesting, I wouldn’t consider McConnell (the senator) to be zealous or nutty, just completely self-interested and devoid of principles. But I could be completely wrong about that.
Oh it is very tempting to respond with “Dude...are you for real with this?” But yes I need to take a different approach. Sometimes I’ll give them a chance to save face and be like “Hey I think there may have been a mistake because all I see is the MSRP” or if they are especially dense I will say “If you were shopping…
Most people want to test drive the car in person...but a lot of car buyers want to avoid the whole negotiation process. And that first bit was more reffering to the fact that right now, with social distancing people want to avoid uncessercery person to person interactions.
There was an interesting article in the New Yorker a few years back. They talked to psychologists, and the big issue seemed to be not so much the noise itself (which is considerable), but the fact that it comes in waves. A lawn tractor puts out a more or less consistent level of sound when it’s puttering around…
Sorry, not buying it. This was likely the safest time this could have been done. As you said, hardly anyone is on the road. I’m not buying the Alex Roy argument either, “They could have hit a truck carrying precious medical supplies”. Well, yeah but I’ll bet that’s statistically pretty low. I think most of the…
I think the idea that it’s somehow worse to do this during the coronavirus is quite wrong—yes, a crash will pull resources away from the virus, but a crash during “normal” times could very well kill a family or other innocent roadgoers. Minimizing the risk of that kind of incident seems to at least balance the…
As for it being “super illegal” to run a Cannonball... Last time I checked, this was a car enthusiast blog
Why is it impractical? The track days I’ve done were great examples of social distancing, aside from the morning drivers’ meeting which should be easy to improve. Everyone stay close to your own car, no more than one worker per corner... Should be just fine.
I’m not saying it’s a bad idea to pay extra to principal to knock off that interest... but if you’ve got low rate fixed money on a multi-decade home you likely won’t live in for that long, there are a lot of better places to invest your money. In comparison to a car loan, the house is (presumably) appreciating, or a…
Meh.
The article said LA is down 50%. While I doubt that would be the same for the rest of the country, my bet is accidents are down all over due to less traffic.
What a fucking jackass. Shitbags like this should lose their licence, have their cars crushed, be fined heavily, and do time, in whatever order you please.
