I would disagree, most consoles with a horizontal profile in mind lends itself better for a home theater set up because you can place it directly under the TV stand without obstructing the view.

These things were so bare bones that a paint bucket is probably about as comfortable as original seat.

that low-hanging battery pack is not an advantage, it’s a hazard. Misplace a tire and puncture the pack, suddenly your car is on fire.  You’ll have to fully armor the entire bottom of the car, which makes it much heavier, which causes it’s own issues.

Lack of interior shots makes me think you’ll be sitting on a paint bucket.

You are also forgetting something... Sheer mass. The added weight of the battery makes it easier to dig in and get stuck and it’s a heavier mass to pick up and over a crest.

Thank god. There is nothing better than the tactical feel from a knob or switch to tell you that you’ve done what you wanted to do. Touch screens are a fab that needs to go away.
