Failed car salesmen have a history of pivoting to attempted (world) domination.

I also never knew there was a game of chess going on about how easy it is to turn one’s car.

I wouldn’t be surprised if it was different from state to state (and whether you are the “right” kind of speeder/know someone). There are plenty of people that have been arrested around the country for posting high-speed runs. It’s why the running joke about “video taken in Mexico”.

I recognize it’s part of a larger problem, but as someone who has nearly been hit by these folks on multiple occasions a little victim blaming (aka responsibility) is key. Every single day when I’m walking my dog, I watch them run red lights, and go the wrong way on one way streets. It’s like the old days of the bike

The question posited in the subtitle is answered directly above it.

I wonder how much it would cost to replace the front end? Might be a reasonable way into one of these.

The crazy thing is, I see more old cars when I’m up north visiting family than I do down in Houston. They’re rust heaps, but they’re still running.

Man. That dealer was working extra hard to protect us from the predatory manufacturer!

Good catch!

No. No it’s not. 2000 fpm is a perfectly normal, standard rate of decent, and 3000 is not unusual even for airliners. The key is the transition from level flight to the descent to avoid negative G.

This is what I was thinking as I read the article. Ultimately, we’d be far better served by removing the loophole for passenger trucks and SUVs than by switching which ruler we use.

And just in time - I guess the update is live.

It was absolutely touted as being end-all/be-all. Just another example of over-promise/under-deliver and the faithful don’t care.

Dan mentions in his video that it’s awaiting a software update to get the back wheels to act like a locking dif and consequently the front dif also doesn’t lock? So yeah - yet another way it shipped in beta mode.

Knowing it was a tantrum makes the most sense. It’s the, “I’m so tough I can kick myself in the nuts!” philosophy. That and I assumed he figured he could hire many of them back at lower pay.

Yeah - that’s what makes it worse. Toyota has it, they just don’t offer the GR Corolla in that color.

Yeah - part of the massive layoffs apparently involved the delivery centers and they are way understaffed. It sounds like you just have a couple people working at these places and your experience entails, “Here’s how you turn it on and put it in drive; good luck. NEXT!

Got my hopes up until the said that green on the Corolla was a wrap.

He mentioned it hadn’t been cleaned when he picked it up originally. So they just did what they should’ve done originally.

I was going to say, “Still safer than when my friends just sat on the rear wheel humps in the back of my old Jeep.” Does that count? (Also, very glad they weren't sitting there when I flipped said Jeep on the way to school one morning).
