Ok but I’m not sure you understand either based on your examples. Yes - you are correct you have a greater chance of affecting the outcome while in control of a car than you do while riding in the back of the airplane. That’s not the point. The point is - there is a 0.000001% chance of any plane crashing anywhere (in

A 1965 Cadillac Fleetwood was almost 19' long (2" longer than a modern Suburban) and weighed 4800 lbs. A ‘65 Lincoln Continental was 18' long and almost 5300 lbs.

Ok, pretend I’m stupid (easily done).

One out of 1400'ish over the course of about 3 million miles a year.

Yet people who are driving their own cars still die in car accidents - when they’re not crashed into by other drivers in their cars (iow - no control over those either).

It’s a cliche because it’s still very accurate. Just because you don’t like it, doesn’t make it less so.

Well - this [Florida] clearly sucks. Now for the practical discussion of how to get around it for the time being.

At that depth it must be a pancake. The Electra was pressurized, but that's to keep stuff inside, not out.

Any number of ways I imagine. Just because there aren’t traffic cams in the immediate vicinity doesn’t mean there aren’t elsewhere.

One only has to look at that ground cover to know that area likely stays really damp most of the time. It’d be risky parking a regular golf cart there long term - let alone a 9000 lb one.

And when they get caught it’s going to be soo much worse for them. It goes from a moving violation to filing a false police report, obstruction of justice, likely attempted insurance fraud, all manner of charges.

I think the “Aspire” was well-named. It aspired to be a car you wanted. It never would be... but it really tried.

Do we think the rose-tinted “schmaltz” is chosen as an intentional counterpoint to the brutal realities? They sold the war one way at home (and as the years have passed), which does a disservice to the men and women that actually lived it.

Agreed. Lots of vehicles have these deflectors ahead of the front wheels and they’re just fixed pieces of (cheap) plastic/rubber. Not sure the active portion is necessary.

All of this. Maybe if we actually COULD spec our cars, we’d see more variety. Instead it’s take what you can get.

Even ignoring the “great” part - this seems like a mismatched collection of cars whose only similarities are two doors.

I mean, the Starion/Conquest remains a staple of the Rad era. It’s true you don’t see them much any more but that’s more because they’re apparently a PITA to keep running.

They’ve been pretty busy - just not much big that can be done until the Creation Kit is released.

I feel so “protected”!

I just imagine them telling him this and his response is being, “What? This is just the watch I wear on Wednesdays.”
