These articles are so irritating (and yet I clicked another one!).  We all touch millions of germs every day!  There is fecal matter ALL AROUND US!  It’s fine.  Everything’s fine.

Is there any actual data on the risk factors here? We come into contact with all kinds of bacteria on a regular basis, be it through contact with public surfaces everywhere from doors to washrooms to chairs, exchanges of money and other products that come into contact with multiple people, and even being in close

One word, Chili.

Eh - 2 of those losses were in September, which the Pats have treated as an extension of the preseason lately. All 3 of those teams had extra motivation for the particular game. Jax for “revenge” for the AFC Championship game last year (congrats), Detroit for Patricia facing his former team, and TEN for Vrabel facing

I’m still clinging to that win by the Titans.

Looking over Football outsiders today, the Patriots beat the no.1 DVOA team (KC), the no.2 DVOA team (LAR), and the number 3 DVOA (LAC) team in the postseason this year. That’s crazy.

One piece of advice I give to everyone who has savings of whatever kind that are more than 20k:

Open a brokerage account. Most people don’t even think to do so, as (if they think about them at all) they assume they’re only for professional traders. But they aren’t. So long as you can put a minimum amount in to set it

If you’re even thinking about borrowing money to get a master’s degree, you need to sit down and think about ROI, map out the monthly payments post-grad, look at what the graduates of that school/program earn (if the school doesn’t provide this data, run the other way) and decide if “the juice is worth the squeeze.”

One more tip, stop pissing away your money on new cars and car loans.

There’s no financial advice that can help when the problem is that you just don’t have enough income to meet your necessary expenses.

The only people who doubted them were their own fans and the Boston media.

Local paper here in Central PA is “Pick Sixth” with a photo of Gilmore’s marvelous INT. Thought that was clever. More so than any trite “six pack” references, which are inevitable.

I’m not a Pats fan, but there was definitely some of that talk this season. They went 11-5 and had a few pretty ugly losses in a row. I don’t think it was until the playoffs that people started to say “These look like the same old Patriots”.

Blame the Boston sports media. Sports radio and the Boston Globe spend an inordinate amount of time complaining about the Patriots and constantly predicting their imminent demise. This is part of the reason Patriots fans are so obnoxious, they actually believe the Patriots get no respect. It’s a chicken-egg problem.

Every time Brady throws a ball, he needs five men to block it and a man to catch it. Every time he plays a game, he has to rely on his defense to make sure his team doesn’t get out scored. He’s played until 41- in a game where he really doesn’t have to run or consistently perform feats of body flexibility.

I completely agree. The NFL is an organization that has designed it’s system to suppress repeat winners - except it also richly rewards teams that don’t even try to win. The Patriots exploit this gap in the offseason - in the NFL’s rigged system, they know where the ropes and pulleys are and how they work. While there

What is upsetting about the Patriots to me is their grim inevitability. This season we saw innovative and high scoring offenses, exciting new players and coaches, and some crazy games, and it’s just so bitter that it all ended with the same fucking Patriots beating probably the two most fun teams in the league in

I was happy to hear the crowd boo Goodell after the game, they couldn’t all be Patriots fans.
