The George Washington Bridge has a bike path but the Jersey side is in Palisades and the NYC side is way uptown. It’s not practical for most commutes but it’s a great view! 

Newark still gets a bad rap but it’s a pretty underrated city. There are some rather bleak areas and some of the large scale efforts at gentrification (like the NJPAC) are a tad forced. But the PATH train to NYC is a 10 minutes ride (hopefully). You can’t afford Bushwick, you might try Newark.

Don’t blame yourself, no way there would have been a Submariner in stock at any Rolex AD in Switzerland. Even my friends who work at the company can’t get them. I advise to just get on as many waiting lists as possible and be patient.

Toum (aka: Vegan may) is the way to go for garlic mayo. You use garlic instead of eggs as the emulsifier. You can use elephant garlic if you want to limit the amount of garlic flavor, or some nice russian reds if you want a really potent garlic flavor in it.
