I think a better option would be to offer something like 5 offline downloads a month AND when the licenses are expired and pulled from the online catalog, the offline files can still be viewed as long as they are a member.

Exactly. If Hulu/Netflix became the Spotify of TV shows, I’d reconsider. However, the other horrible bit about these services is that while you don’t “own” any of the content, they keep changing it on you. So that TV series you had saved in your favorites for several months, is now gone because of licensing.

One thing I noticed that is strange is that Facebook doesn’t seem to compress cover photos for Pages. I’ve uploaded the same cover photo to my Page and Profile, and only the profile cover photo gets compressed.
