Exactly. If Hulu/Netflix became the Spotify of TV shows, I’d reconsider. One thing I noticed that is strange is that Facebook doesn’t seem to compress cover photos for Pages. I’ve uploaded the same cover photo to my Page and Profile, and only the profile cover photo gets compressed.

Does MyWi just enable tethering on phones that may have had the software feature enabled? Or can now (finally?) "hide" the tethered connection from the carrier, like PDAnet does?

I believe a lot of this has to do with the apps using https connection. I've been able to get free access to any site that I'm logged into with a https connection on my computer using my phone's hotspot feature, even though I don't pay for it.
