I also recommend to ask the professor when the first reading or assignment from the book is due, if not already stated in the syllabus. I’ve gone through 2 years of community school with all these “required” books, and many times never needed it because the teacher never assigned a thing from it.

For less conventional

I want to own ALL OF THE TVs!

Kidding aside, I’ve grown a large collection of rare tv shows and movies, most of which will most likely never be seen on any streaming service or on DVD. TV shows that have been ripped from their original airings, and not the syndicated versions that are cut short for time, or cut scenes

Exactly. If Hulu/Netflix became the Spotify of TV shows, I’d reconsider. However, the other horrible bit about these services is that while you don’t “own” any of the content, they keep changing it on you. So that TV series you had saved in your favorites for several months, is now gone because of licensing.

I’ll stick with bit torrent. Ad-free since 2004!

One thing I noticed that is strange is that Facebook doesn’t seem to compress cover photos for Pages. I’ve uploaded the same cover photo to my Page and Profile, and only the profile cover photo gets compressed.

I dont get it. Why would you spend near $300 for something that you can get for $35 on sale to toast, reheat pizza and bake a few cookies? I’ve had the same Black & Decker toaster oven for 7+ years.

The Brevilles look nice, but I’d like to see an article on WHY I need one, with more reasons that “even toasting.”

Worked on my mac- but required me to put in admin un/pw

Does anyone have any experience with using RAC or Aarons for just a month or two? My parents are selling their house, and I thought using one of these stores would be a cheaper option than hiring a house stager.

This is kind of stupid and too buzzfeedy. Brands wouldn’t post anything if it didn’t pass.

Though I haven’t purchased it (yet!), THIS is the waffle maker to end all waffle makers.

i’d like to get this, but wondering if anyone knows of something similar, but also has bluetooth capabilities?

Thanks for this! I've been wanting to play with Pixelmator, but always default to Photoshop because it's what I know. But I like how lightweight Pixelmator is. I'll give it go this weekend. :)

I've always been lucky using foursquare for public spot's wifi passwords.

The dialer was a part of Hangouts on iOS at least 2 versions ago. You covered it back in October 2013 ;) http://lifehacker.com/google-hangout…

And while the previous article I mentioned showed the Android version, it was enabled for iOS users; though maybe to just a small group at first.

(I don't mean to sound like a

I believe it's the same access to GV Voicemail and SMS as the last release. It's not a Google Voice app replacement. You can only receive new voicemails and SMS, and only after you integrate it from voice.google.com. Afterwhich, you lose access to receiving notifications from the Chrome Google Voice extension, and

What about blocking ads through hosts? Would that bog down the computer?

Does MyWi just enable tethering on phones that may have had the software feature enabled? Or can now (finally?) "hide" the tethered connection from the carrier, like PDAnet does?

I'm guessing this doesn't work for people with edu discounts either..

I believe a lot of this has to do with the apps using https connection. I've been able to get free access to any site that I'm logged into with a https connection on my computer using my phone's hotspot feature, even though I don't pay for it.
