I’ve always argued this, and it’s why I play most horror games on easy; I’d rather enjoy the game’s story/design/etc. and not be challenged particularly, than be constantly cursing because my character can’t move or behave properly in combat.

“It’s absolutely not a blog. It’s a news website.”

Kotaku is a blog that features articles by a variety of people on a variety of perspectives.

I’m pretty sure they did, because I remember being a little skeptical on these “memory cards” initially, and then being relieved when I heard 1) the size of the XSeX SSD and 2) that other solutions would be available in the future.

Your point seems to a very lightly veiled excuse to praise Sony, so this might be wasted typing, but I’ll try to clarify anyway:

Okay, now go sell this approach to a mom shopping for her 14 year old son, lol. This is exactly the same argument (“it’s easy!” “guided research!”) that makes consoles continue to thrive in a PC world.

Is the storage expensive? Yes. Is comparable PC storage also relatively expensive? Yes. Whether or not MS maintains this price point in a year or two, you’ll probably see plenty of affordable 3rd party options, so I’m not sure where the outrage comes from.

Absolutely, which is why they could pivot to some form of pick-up, drive-thru, etc.

I’m a fan of my favorite bbq sauces (Smoke Daddy in Chicago, Gates from KC, etc.), and also a fan of Popeye’s Sweet Heat (it’s like sweet & sour with some spice thrown in).

To be fair, they clarified that later one (closer to release, I think), they’ll detail other ways to purchase access to the dungeons. Now, does that further exacerbate the “Obamacare” issue? Yeah, lol. But I don’t think they’re trying to rip people off on the dungeons.

100% agree on this. I love TB, but there’s so much of my favorite stuff there that’s just “ground beef and a bunch of other weird shit” that it was a really nice addition.

Who are you to judge people who choose not to get a shot?”

It’s generally pretty telling when people won’t get a free vaccine that’ll help stem the spread of a pandemic, so it’s pretty easy to judge as long as the reason behind not getting the shot isn’t “my doctor told me the vaccine may give me a severe allergic

I hate that Nintendo has finally gone the way of GaaS; still salty that the Switch Virtual Console I partially bought the Switch for never materialized, because this ain’t it, chief. Gonna wait on the library to expand before I decide if it’s worth the $30 a year upgrade.

I mean, I do think there are cases where “more of the same” is exactly what you want, and that’s generally not the case with a genre that’s as packed as FPS.

Can you speak to the assets in all these other MMOs? I’m not a dev, so I don’t have these answers, but given how bloated Destiny 2 got after expansion after expansion, running on an “upgraded” engine from 2014, it’s not that hard for me to believe, honestly.

They’ve gone on record as basically saying what you said; they’re happy to have people just play through for the story, but it is meant to be essentially an FPS MMO, and one of Destiny’s biggest draws is the progressing storyline. You can’t make a believable persistent world if you don’t make semi-permanent changes to

Honestly surprised to hear you say you found it unresponsive, as one of the common complaints among players who want to quit is “I’d stop playing but there’s no game out there with D2's gameplay.”

It’s not that it became synonymous with “good,” it’s that “open world” is synonymous with “you get to explore a huge world,” which sounds cool.

Exactly this.

That’s a fair point, but what I’m saying is that if the numbers for Xbox point towards it being significantly more popular in the US than elsewhere, I’d assume the majority of people interested in taking advantage of streaming Xbox games would also be located in the US. Not of all them, but a significant enough
