I actually agree that it’s a shame Red War (among other things) is gone, but I think we have consoles to blame for that (and before anyone jumps on me, I’m 100% a console player, so this isn’t a #PCMasterrace comment); Bungie has said that they’re pretty significantly limited by how much HDD space the consoles have,

Don’t worry man, I’ve played all 3 games, and there’s a certain cartoonishness to D3's graphics that I’ve never loved, so you’re not crazy.

The base game is free, so it makes sense that non-paying players wouldn’t have access to everything; with a F2P model you have to monetize somehow, and the Destiny playerbase has already made it clear that they won’t accept “you have to buy any and all cosmetics for real money” as that compromise (I’ll admit there’s

Look, I know plenty of people think Destiny 2 is a bad game; great, you’re 100% entitled to that opinion.

Totally agree, I loved all of them for...whatever they were, lol, and have never totally forgiven Capcom from moving away from that (although it seems like they’re moving back into more atmosphere-based games now, which is nice).

It depends on the game I think; fast action games tend to flow better/be more responsive at 60 (games like Dark Souls 2, for example, or Control). I also generally prefer the crisper look at 60fps, but that’s definitely a subjective thing.

Alan Wake is the only one of their recent games that I took real issue with the combat, but otherwise it’s a great game! Control feels like a refined version of QB not in the premise, but in the fact that they landed on a great way to tell a really weird, cinematic story without breaking up the action.

I think pre-RE4 the series strength was atmosphere (because it had pretty similarly clunky combat to the SH series), but otherwise I agree.

Honestly, I’m not a fan of how the Ultimate Edition upgrades worked, but I wish Remedy nothing but success. I loved Quantum Break, and I think the Xbox-exclusivity hurt its chances of being bigger than it was, so I’m happy to see Control make bank, even if it means me buying it twice.

I mean, I’d like to have all the locations at 100%, so I’m obviously team “ah, no more Cosmodrome? too bad.” But I will say that A) I didn’t noticed the entire thing wasn’t there (because I haven’t had a good reason to explore the place) and B)I’ll admit that while I want old locations, new content is way more

rogueindy partially nailed it (I’m sure some of it is desperate parents, but let’s ignore that portion). To use a similar example, one of the reasons the bourbon market is so out of control is that actual bourbon aficionados aren’t the ones buying the “top shelf” options anymore; a ton of the people buying them are

I was introduced to this guy in Fringe, and I’ve loved him in everything I’ve seen (or heard, in Destiny’s case) him in, so him being an awesome dude is just icing on the cake.

Hell, they could’ve added in a MP mode like ME3 had, if they wanted to riff on the live service aspect.

You’re not wrong, and it’s a really easy place to see why Bioware ran into issues.

Agreed on all of this. There is some special stuff in Anthem, they just didn’t put *enough* in for it to be the “Destiny-killer” they clearly wanted it to be (despite not wanting to even look at what Destiny does well).

Makes sense; I must’ve either ignored that portion because I knew that this is the same Bioware that’s scrambling to make Anthem 2.0 a thing, or I never heard the full-scale aspect.

To be fair, I haven’t followed the project very intently (I’d rather just see it for myself when it comes out), but I always assumed it was the latter (a cash-in). I’d have loved a real remaster, but Bioware is in a spot where half the gaming industry assumes they’re going to go under and the other half just believes

I mean, I agree with you in principle that a piece of DLC missing means you’re missing a portion of the game, so it’s not like I don’t get where you’re coming from.

Hell, I’m pretty sure I played more hours of ME3 multiplayer than the rest of the ME3 (maybe all 3 games combined; I LOVED the mp), and I’m still missing a UR weapon or two, and don’t have the rest maxed. I can’t imagine going through that again.

Touche! You’re not wrong, the ME DLC options were pretty all-over-the-place until ME3.
