I’m just pointing out that we are getting better but it isn’t as simple a change as it was for suicides, and that is how many mass shootings end. The sad thing is if you want your suicide on the news you just have to do something big. Your point though I do again fully understand.

The only problem equating a suicide to a mass shooting is, and this is going to be blunt, it’s really easy to ignore a person who shot themselves at home than a person who kills 17-59 in a span of minutes. Yes we could do better, and in some respects we are. The amount of time we talk about the killer and the video we

As somebody who works in TV every time there is a mass shooting I just feel beaten down and broken. It’s been the same script since Columbine (I was in high school but still watched a lot of news). Granted when I was young I thought mass shootings were another exciting breaking news event, Virginia Tech happened

Yup.

That’s what I’m hoping. It’s kind of like the current writing staff wants to go slightly away from Fuller’s original idea but couldn’t fully do that in season 1 due to already being committed.

It looks exactly how I would think a Constitution class would look with the Diso athetic. Which is sexy as hell.

Very worth the benge.

They are all fun in an one HBO and it’s raining outside kind of way. The second one though, which WS only wrote, is shit.

I love Event Horizon.

ENT on it’s own is a perfectly serviceable early 2000s problem of the week space ship show. Once they made it Trek you started to realise that the writers had done these episodes before, usually better. Then they realised it as well. Once the newer staff took over it got better again. It’s a mixed bag but it has

Netflix glitched for a whole night about 15 minutes into that nightmare. I took it as a sign.

Ya Lorca isn’t gone for good, he is in the mushrooms.

That was what I was hoping for. It would solve all the timeline problems.

It’s fine when you can just power through it, as a cliffhanger end to the Xindi(sp) arch though....

Yes, yes a thousand times yes. When Lorca says PU Burnam is more interesting than his, my wife yelled “ because she was raised by Vulcans. Multiculturalism bitch.”

Hell Voyager never came close to exploring it’s 10 word pitch. I’m watching season 3 of BSG and that at times feels like what Voyager wanted to be for a hot second before turning into TNG.

The last half of Enterprise got anbad wrap at the time but isn’t bad. It’s also Trek trying new things, a serial dark story, and hyper world building. One works better than the other but it was experamental.

See also it isn’t Into Darkness, or the first season of TNG.

There is distrustful reviewing, which I think this is, and hate reviewing, io9. These just come off more negative than the score, and the preamble graphs are getting as stale.

This. If Disco had been 90s Trek I would be watching still, but would be far less excited or interested. It boldy goes where no Trek has gone before.
