Who says nobody loved? It was just too damn expensive! Sold at a time when Honda sold 50 different bikes. If you’re a thumper lover (I am) It’s a dream bike. If you could get it for $2k, you could hop it up -add a good suspension and make a fun bike you could beat on and not worry about devaluation.
The article didn’t specifically say anything about her sexual orentation -but Northhampton + Forrester kinda says they colored over her rainbow license plate frame...
But look how much enjoyment the owner is getting out of it.
Hurray! Someone else (and I also do restos + mark + label parts) that gets it! I couldn’t figure the anger. When you sell off your electric E type project 10 years from now, If I can find the left side motor mount + carb mounting bracket (and the 100's of other stupid special parts) it makes my life sooo much easier…
That’s the idea I had a couple years ago. Make a kit for dummies-something that will attach to Chevy motor mounts. (Hey- everything on the planet has a kit for a Chevy.) I’m sure there’s other like me that would be willing to try going electric-just don’t want to wait for that learning curve thing. Get past the DIY…
Yea-that was my next guess.
“ Ive never towed with it-the brakes sucked-the trailer from Uhaul had dry rotted tires-the lights didn’t work-and it was an 800 tow-in the rain.”
aa-mfg.com with this catalog, Blinky would have been done years ago. ( I’m stocking up now.)
But then who will all your aunts/uncles/friends/neighbors gonna call when they need something hauled? ( Note* I’ve owned vans/cube van/ short buses for the last 35 years.)
Yup-I’ve help build 3 of them.
Yup on both counts. And “crate engine” classes beat us up even more.
I’ve been an automotive machinist since the late 70's. You got it-once carbs went away, the need for the 80k rebuild did too. Plus better oil-better materials-and actual engineering rather than crappy redo’s of the same engines designed in the 50's. The need for our work is down 75% compared to when I started. It’s…
<—-20 year hillclimb veteran. In New England (hillclimb.org New England Hillclimb Association on FB) You can run without a cage-up to a certain time. This way you can get a taste of what its like-but once you get fast, the next investment is safety equipment. Cage-Hans-Fire suit etc. We have 7 or 8 hills a year.…
Are you kidding me? I’ve spent most my time and all my money to feel 2-3 G!
I dunno. This smells funny. NH is state LEAST like to spend the time or money giving a shit about things so minor. Don’t forget this is the state that gives you free cigarettes and roman candles when you cross the border-and sells you cheap booze right on the hiway!
You almost have to say he’s a racer who acted.
