“Its more fun driving a slow car fast than a fast car slow.”

Saw one on CL the other day-had to open the ad just to see what it was. Ford ‘ascap’
Too many things spelled correctly to be an actual Craigslist ad.
Harvick seemed to have a fuel delivery problem-it would only run up to a certain rpm. I never heard them say it had no oil pressure-just it wouldn’t rev up.
Excuse me-then please explain how a dry sump pump works. I’ve only built maybe 100 engines with them (AutoVertie sp*-Peterson-Aviad-Bailey). Always willing to learn more.
So-if you drop a dry sump pump-with a aluminum body 3/4” thick-that has a hardened inner + outer gear-it can last all of dyno break in-practice-qualifiying-and 2 hours of racing—before it fails? It would chew itself up in the first 2 minutes-and they engine shop would have seen chips in the oil right away.
It disappers twice a day like magic.
I used to race at dirt track that adjoined the runway to Westfield (Ma.) air force base. One of the highlights was A-10’s doing touch + goes all day. The road into the pits was basically an extension of the runway. The pilots who put the planes on the numbers would be coming overhead 100 ft-so low you could tell what…
Mmmm-smoked big green eggs....
They suck. I used to work for a private collection that had a few of them. All I remember was “if ever in doubt, hit any two pedals at the same time.”
“Where we’re going, you don’t need to counter-steer.”
“I just can’t get over how relaxed Ken is.”
You saw the glowing rear rotors too-huh?
Pretty risky signing such a long term contract if those issues are on your mind.
Theres no rules preventing other factories supporting rallying. Can’t blame Subaru for that.
Whoa whoa whoa-wait one minute-have you ever been to Lime Rock? I’ve been to tracks where I have parked farther away from the track than to where this church is. And this is a track that was built in the middle of a small village-not the outskirts of a city. The “no racing on Sunday” was done voluntarily from day one.
You’ve never been there huh? Bet your ass you’d pay alot-the track is in the middle of a quait village-a New Yorkers dream getaway. No traffic lights-no visible businesses-just a quiet hamlet. If you didn’t know there was a track there, you’d drive right by it.
