The fellas name is Roger Barr. He was a local racer/race shop owner of fame in Glastonbury Ct. back in the 60’s. I still have memories of his shop from back when i was about 7 years old-when my father would bring his Morgan/Mini/NSU to him for service. All the cars in his parking lot were the odd ball stuff of the day

The scene in my mind-the driver finds him self at the pearly gates....

And I hope the jobs in Connecticut.

Hehe-he said pull the heads + fix the carb.

I’ve been going to races since I was 2 weeks old,50’s now) seen many kinds of racing all over the world. Most races you can kinda figure out what it will be like. EXCEPT NHRA pro drag racing. The is no way to describe it adequately. You can feel and hear it miles away. No big screen-no surround sound can capture it.

Watkins Glen! I’ll be there this weekend!

even better-ice cube trays. Look for ones with 16 holes for 4 cylinders. And muffin tins for the larger parts.

I regret I have but one star to give.

I presume you are talking about the Seca 650. I have mine still that I got in 84 (in very poor shape awaiting resto.) It was built up from new (A Yamaha regional rep put in a 717cc kit-cams + 29 smoothbores + a Bassani pipe on a brand new bike to bring to Bike week.) I put 50k miles on that thing-also drag raced it

Well it obvious that you aren’t a drag race fan. Perhaps you might have let someone pen the article that shows a little interest-or is at least better at hiding their dis-interest.

Now- now. I know its not safe -but think of it as bonding experience when you share with your son :”DON”T tell mom you flipped over-ok?’

A racing buddy used to work at place that were making the carbon fiber components of the first series of the Hans device. His comment:” A Hans is 75 dollars of carbon fiber—and $500 of liability insurance.”

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for shooting pics all those years ago ! Even thought you were too poor to eat, you still paid to have file developed. If not, this story would be lost.

The sharks won’t do anything. “professional courtesy”.

Thumbs up for mentioning Mr. Chicken-and thumbs up for the work you do Archivist-I love that place!

Counting down to when Trump threatens to sue NASCAR starting in 3...2....
