Why would he have broken? He would have continued to not talk until Dean killed him which is what he wanted.

I do wonder if they were planning on a definite ending this season prior to renewal and have been scurrying to move things around to have it work for s10. I'm fine with it if it gives us something amazing for s10.

I wouldn't think the spells would affect someone as powerful as Metatron in the same way it might Cas. I have to noodle on this.

Also, Gadreel wanted Dean to kill him, so rather than kill him they used him in whatever way they could.

Ack, I forgot to mention Sam. First, his hair needs some adjusting. It's ever more "That Girl". It just needs a trim is all I'm saying.

Dean spent some time torturing Gadreel and he told Sam that Gadreel wasn't going to talk. What more should they have done?

I adored Cas' sweet smile when he heard Dean's voice. "How are you Dean" had soooo much in it. And Dean's little smile when Cas talked about the Honor Bar. Ugh.Those two. Need more of that.

I feel pretty damn cheated that I didn't get to see the sexts.

Yes and holy crap! I just had a thought. Cas told Meg that he didn't read books because they could contain a spell hidden in the text that could kill him. How is that going to be dealt with now that the books are in his head? Is there a ticking time bomb in his head now? I just got really sad thinking about that.

I can't help but wonder if that little brain dump of culture might have given Cas some ideas about how to be a leader.

But not so tired that you still had the strength to click on the link….

I really liked that look on Gadreel's face. It was quite ambiguous. I couldn't decide if it was a bit of "I'm going to take your ass down" or "You are full of shit". Either way I thought it was really intriguing.

Good episode. I give it a B mostly because it was too much Metatron for my tastes and not enough Cas interacting with the boys. And seeing NotGabriel was a delight. I hope we see ActualGabriel again.

Maybe Ken will end up on an island somewhere and he'll have to fight his way off and become ….something else…..someone else. And return to SCDP a bigger, better, more Kiwi version of himself.

If Don tries to go cold turkey, couldn't he just flat out die from the withdrawal?

On a shallow note, Alexis is looking mighty fine these days with that Van Dyke.

Yeah, I recognized his voice immediately

I think it was the only compelling enough to distract Adalind. Don't forget they arrested Kelly for murdering Adalind's mom. So that was a big deal to Adalind.

I loved this episode. Got my Viktor/Renard face-off. YAY! I felt bad for Adalind only because Claire Coffee was great in that moment.

Really?
