So you see things that aren't there and it makes your balls blue?

nothing to see here. reply fail. sorry

I had a completely opposite reaction. If there had been a more competent actress with Norman it have been sort of compelling. But I thought it just fell flat. Norman carried the episode but it wasn't IMO his best work because he was paired with such a boring acting partner. I thought he was really struggling to make

Well, she looks like she's 18. But regardless, she's not good in this role.

For a Daryl-centric episode that was extraordinarily bad. I hate bashing young actors but Emily Kinney is pretty bad. Even Norman Reedus couldn't save this episode. I don't really understand why all the discussion about Daryl's background because we already knew or easily surmised this when we got to know Darryl in

Only after Chris Bosh

I understand that. But I always think that's kind of pointless exercise because we can all fanwank we would have liked but in discussing what we got, you can't ignore the dilemma that RTD created. That's my point.

Not really sure what Melissa McCarthy writing her own material for herself has to do with Jim Parsons. Unless you are suggesting that Parsons wrote his own shitty material on BBT and on SNL.

The commenter I was responding to edited his/her comment after my reply. However, the question still remains, if the Doctor hadn't mindwiped her she would have died.

Martha survived on her own because she left the Doctor. She never died.

And Jack showing up for the Utopia and Journey's End arcs.

I think Utopia and the Sound of Drums were great episodes

Eh, honestly, I think you should give it a try. It's a whole different can of worms and it explores with varying degrees of success and failure some pretty dark themes related to religion, death, existentialism etc.

I just looked at the End of Time as the Long Goodbye.

Okay well that doesn't actually answer my question…but okay?

It's RTD inspired but Chris Chibnall had a big hand in it as well.

I quite liked the Utopia arc and Donna's end was truly tragic. I still always ask, what should the Doctor have done? Let Donna die?

I loved their fight scenes but that's about it. I have so many problems with Gwen's uneven characterization it makes me feel stabby. She could have been a really interesting, three dimensional complicated female character and instead she got Mary Sue'd and man, it was super annoying.

Miracle Day has so much potential to be a really great story. I still haven't figure out what went so wrong. It had some really great moments and absolutely terrible moments.

This is simply false. BBT was very good in it's first few seasons. Jim Parsons is a gifted actor, but the writing fails him on BBT at times and it did on SNL.
