“how often you change cable providers”
“how often you change cable providers”
Kind of similar to the Ginger Keyboard with some app functionality built into the keyboard.
I was a RTM subscriber for a long time hoping they would improve the service, but after years with them I gave up and jumped ship to Todoist. Not looking back now, especially since Todoist has had these features for less and IFTTT integration.
Figures...I’m waiting for my refund to come so I can buy a Nexus 6P :-(
I just ordered a Nexus 6P and a few accessories since everything I own is micro-USB at the moment. I didn’t buy anything that was not mustered by Benson Leung first just for this reason. You know very well that his reviews are buying people’s trust when you see things like in the review above.
By default this is turned off. But if you set it, then yes it will wipe the device after several wrong attempts rendering brute force moot. I think it’s one of these cases where we are in between CES and Mobile World Congress and someone got bored and wrote a scare article for some fame and fun.
For Android devices I would actually recommend eWeather HD. Especially if you are a weather nerd because it has just about everything that can be possibly be tracked and is super customizable with tons of widgets. Really you could spend hours tweaking everything in the interface, notification types and customizing…
I’ve never played the lottery, but I’m actually thinking about buying just one ticket and letting the machine pick the numbers. That way if the planets a line and I am the only winner I can go on TV and when asked “how often do you play the lottery?” I can say “first time” and when they ask “how did you choose your…
I learned about wines by finding out what goes best with certain foods. It’s no duh that wine (and beer too) and food go well together so knowing a little about pairings helps in choosing. Get the book What to Drink With What You Eat by Andrew Dornenburg and Karen Page. It’s a stupid simple book to follow and you will…
The $5 for Power Director is not bad considering it solves the soundtrack/effects problem of Adobe’s offering. I have been using Power Director for awhile since it was the first good one to come along. It’s super easy to use and they add stuff to it all the time without making it an in-app purchase. In other words it…
If you went from FF42 to FF43 they are now blocking unverified add-ons and my LastPass (and Readability) was turned off. Just checking for updates for add-ons didn’t work. I did go to LastPass.com and re-install it and it now is trusted just fine. I didn’t even loose any info and it was already logged back in when I…
Agreed. Plex is dead simple to setup for sure.
I do use SMB and that’s why I said, why not use both. Each has a couple of things the other doesn’t, but it’s easy enough once they are setup to use both to fit your needs.
I was refering to the Home Theater piece. The server software and interface is similar these days. Truth be told, I haven’t had Windows in my house in well over 4 years, so I’m a bit behind. The media server interface is fine and can work fine as an HTPC. Kodi has the ability to setup custom skins so it has a bit more…
Actually I left Verizon and headed to StraightTalk and haven’t looked back. I’m still on Verizon’s network with the same exact coverage, but a far better and cheaper plan. That said, as a long time Verizon customer I can prove there are plenty of places where they have terrible coverage and another carrier is better.…
Why not use both? I do, each for it’s own reason. I run a Linux laptop with all my media so that does tend to limit a few things. I use Plex to watch my movies on other devices besides the laptop. Mostly because of the transcoding and the ability to use it to watch stuff outside my house. This is Plex’s greatest…
The ad problem was basically brought on by advertisers themselves with their tactics and sometimes sketchy methods (popovers and popunders, etc.). Case in point: turn off any ad blockers and read any article on thehindu.com (Indian news site) and watch it take forever for the page to load the no less than 5…
Add to that you can float the keyboard to one side for single thumb typing! Handy on the same giant phone or tablet.
So, since I’m a user of an Android phone, an iPad and a Linux laptop, I might be able to give you some tips. On the laptop I generally have GMail open in a tab of the browser. I have used Thunderbird, but abandoned it when Mozilla abandoned it. So notifications from calendar entries in Google Calendar usually come…
I found myself saying “damn straight” after every paragraph of this article. Excellent points and I hope Sundar reads this! The funny thing is Google has a giant pool of beta testers and poll takers (I’m one....they were once considering saying “Hello Google” instead of using “OK Google” and that was shot down by us…
