I agree an Android tablet (which I also have) is better, but work issued me an iPad so I'm stuck. At least I don't pay for the LTE on it! I use a bluetooth keyboard and mouse on my Android tablet and that really makes it more like a laptop. The mouse is super handy for doing presentations. I fire up Google Drive, plug

I stopped carrying a laptop a year ago once I got an iPad with 4G LTE connectivity. That combined with a keyboard cover has enabled me to do most everything on the go that I need to do. If it can't be done on the iPad I have remote desktop capabilty back to the office. Like you said, the battery life, weight and

I go back and forth, but the one I always come back to is Firefox. Though, I'm a Ubuntu user and so having Firefox baked in with web apps that are launchable from Unity is awesome. I also find Chrome has lots of issues in Linux. Sometimes it crashes when starting and trying to sync your account and you have to do some

If you are thinking about using it to watch streamed movies, most "HD" versions of movies are streamed at 720P and not 1080P at the moment. One of my gripes about "HD" movies on Google Play and my Nexus 10 tablet (2560x1600) is you can tell it's only 720P.

Run the videos through Handbrake to compress them smaller. It does a good job and fast.

Two ways I do it:

I agree, I love Moon Reader, but since I may be mobile or desktop or even on an iPad, I prefer Google Books since my stuff shows up on all devices. But yes, +1 for Moon Reader!

Same problem here, so I've been using Firefox which is much faster these days.

Google Play books lets you upload non-DRM ePub and PDF files that also become searchable. A bonus for carrying around a library of documents.

Definitely one of the dumb things Google has done....Ok they've done other dumb things, but they said it would come back in a future version, so maybe it will appear.

Hopefully they fix the following annoying issues:

You can't on the new version of the Android app......yet.
