I would add a good weather radar app, the FEMA app (in the US) and check your local or state resources since a lot have built their own emergency services apps (Virginia Department of Emergency Management has a fantastic app). Obviously you need cellular coverage for these to work 100%, but some have limited offline…
Parking decks are easy.....just go to the top floor. Half the time it's empty all the way at the top.
Good idea, but I just usually take a tape measure and measure down from the ceiling equal marks. Not a perfect system, but works most times if the ceiling is straight and since you visually line up the picture frame with the ceiling line it kind of makes sense.
With regards to your question: No (Who would), but they are a necessary evil to keep things free or low cost. If ads are done right then they do not annoy me. They must load fast and not impede the experience and not annoy. I think Google does a good job with GMail ads. They are there, but not annoying. Web sites that…
Sub-consciously the timer on the microwave becomes the goal to beat, so of course you can put all those dishes away in that time ;)
Maps Engine Lite will import a csv, xlxs (MS Excel), or Goolge Docs spreadsheet file and use address or latitude/longitude data to quickly create a map layer. I did this for a Google Education class project to map Civil War sites around my town. Super simple to tweak once everything is imported.
If you switched to the new maps then these instructions are useless. But if you click the gear icon next to your login icon (you need to be logged into Google) you will see an option for "My Places". Clicking that will take you to where you can create a saved map. Also check out Google Maps Engine Lite to create kml…

Don't forget to check the outlet you are plugging into for proper connections. Nothing worse than have a bad ground making any surge protector useless. At least get a surge protector that checks for problems with that. I've used Tripplight devices for years and love them. Also don't forget to find protection for the…
Ah, the Timex Sinclair 1000....also my first computer owned. For a <$100 computer you could not go wrong as a step into the world of computers. It was replaced within two years with a Commodore 64 and I sold the Sinclair to someone who wanted to use it for home automation......makes me wonder if it's still working…
I was doing the same, though I did it with Doggcatcher which can be setup to sync a folder as well.
This is all I use now to listen music at any computer be it mine or another (as I'm listening now while typing).
eWeather is awesome and has about 20 customizable widgets of every size to choose from. I'm a weather nut and after going through many good ones I settled on this as my only weather widget. Looks great on phones and tablets too.
Yeah that would be nice. After all Bezos himself said on the stage that they offer the Kindle Fire a loss because they are a content company and plan on making money through content sales and rentals. If that was truly the case, they would open that app to other platforms other than IOS and the Fire.
I'm finding the Google Now widget does most (as far as presenting info) of what I need and it the only widget in my home screen. It creeps me out sometimes what it does present and knows me better than my own mom.
I read that earlier too. It sounds interesting, but will take time to implement. NFC is hardly everywhere and most people don't know their phones even have it (non-IOS). I assume the struggle to get this going will be the same. Still, the future looks awesome for the smart phone.
I will second that....worth the cost in ease alone for sticky ingredients!
