I got rid of all the other weather apps when I found eWeather HD (and I'm a weather junkie) simply because it's in depth and the widgets (20 different ones that are customizable) are outstanding. There is even a real time radar widget. Works great on the phone and on tablets.

I just got this running last weekend with my MythTV backend on both a laptop running XBMC and my Android phone. If you go the MythTV route and have not setup the backend as a master, then two things you need to be aware of or XBMC will not find the backend. First, change the IP address in the master backend from the

I downloaded the app and the desktop software and tried that. It did nothing at first, so I clicked to download the drivers. Took a few tries to get through to the website since I guess the site was overloaded at first. I got the drivers and tried again after finding I had to enable USB developer mode. At first, the

Spent a day numerous times trying to get it to connect my Galaxy Nexus with the desktop client with tons of problems. Two updates of the app later and it connected finally only to find it does not support encrypted phones :(

I use Thunderbird on my day to day PC to connect to GMail, Google Calendar and Google Contacts. It's a lot like Outlook, but free and open source. Intergrating with GMail (via IMAP) is built in and getting the calendar and contacts to work is easy via a plug-in.

Kitty litter: Good for soaking up spilled oil. Keep it in your car in the winter to get traction when you are slipping on ice.

So....basically still copying Google+. Hopefully the world will freak out about privacy like they did about Google releasing this a couple of months ago.

IOS only backs up certain data, not app settings and actual apps. Titanium backs up everything on the phone including the actual apps making a restore faster.....something IOS does not allow.

Go figure....the few actual CD's I have bought from Amazon are compilation CDs and only some songs transferred. Yeah, music licensing at it's finest.

iTunes has gotten a tad lighter with the latest version......in case you haven't tried it. I basically use iTunes to manage the music locally and Google Music Sync to upload it all to the cloud from there. I rarely play from iTunes and use it just to organize.

I've used old pieces of fence planks (6" x 1/2") cut about 1.5' long and slotted at the ends to wrap lights around. They last forever and they are fairly light. Use a rubber band on the end piece to hold everything in place.

I already had it on Android, but just loaded it onto my iPad. Interesting that the "free" version for IOS has few filters. There is a $2.99 version with the filters unlocked. All the filters and features are free on Android. Very interesting.....

Pixlr Express is also a Chrome app and integrates into Google Drive if you still do tweaking on your PC.

Check out Light Flow to setup sounds and colors for the LED (much like BeBuzz on Blackberry) and Audio Manager (which is on sale right now) for audio profiles.
