Camera Zoom FX is basically the same thing. I use both and both are my go to camera apps on IOS/Android.

Should have included a "sometimes". I typically do not use them, but once in awhile to change the look of something but the photo is usually artsy anyways. A good example is converting something to black and white for artistic effect. As for food, people and places or events, I typically don't do any modifications on…
I suffer this occasionally and I'm an avid podcast listener/watcher. Usually my podcasts download automatically in the background, but I turn that off. I then evaluate the must listen/watch episodes versus the I can live without ones and only download the ones I want to listen/watch. Since I subscribe to higher…
The icon is for PicPlz, but that service shut down some time ago.
Or install the guts to a USB rubber ducky and start collecting someone's keystrokes! http://hakshop.myshopify.com/products/usb-rubber-ducky
I would expect the iPad with retina display to do well.....it has a large battery and thus makes it probably the heaviest of the lot. Sometime having all that battery is a minus. I hate the weight of my iPad 3 compared to other tablets.
Wolfram-Alpha is all you need. The website is free and the mobile app is something like a buck or two.
Typically if it's a decent old laptop, I load Linux on it and give it to someone who may need it. They can make nice "kids" computers that become low maintenance since the administrator rights are locked down thus saving that person's Windows laptop from being hosed up by the kids. I use GrooveIP on Android and Talk-a-Tone on an iPad (mostly for texting, though you can use it for calls). GrooveIP lets me make personal calls on a corporate phone. I don't stay logged in all the time. I have my Google Voice# pointed to my corporate phone. If I get a call on that line I just ignore it (and thus no…
I know a couple of podcasters that use their walk-in closets to podcast because all the clothing hanging in there makes a great acoustical space for recording.
I use Pocket if I plan on coming back to it soon and Evernote for long term storage (like tips). Evernote is great because it can search the whole page for any text. I've also been known to "Print" the page to a PDF converter and upload to Google Drive. Google can also search the PDF for any words. Sometimes this is…
Shhhh....hope they don't read Life Hacker!
I'm always weary of this, but I have noticed that when you "Like" to get a freebie, you are presented with the permissions being granted to your Facebook account and usually a dropdown box to set who see's posts from that "app". Just select "Custom" and set it to "Only me" and it won't spam your friends. I do this all…
I've seen them written on the edges of calendars hanging in the cubicle. Check there too.
Ah, my brain has auto-correct :) Dang autocorrect!
