I don't think it's possible. Not because I could not walk away from the entertainment or social part, that's actually easy, but so much of our society relies on the Internet now. For example you cannot apply for a job where I work unless you do it over the Internet. We do not take paper resumes. Job seeking would be

Has anyone installed it in Ubuntu (12.04 in this case)? I was going to get the new version, but the website says to do it through the software repositories for your distro because of all the dependency issues. Not sure I want to muck it up yet, but I hate waiting forever for Ubuntu to include it.

I've been tagging along at [gimpedtutorials.com] which has some decent tutorials, but it's not complete. The ones here though are good for seeing how you can do different things for different effects. You do need some basic knowledge of using drawing programs, but it's not a bad start for a beginner either. YouTube

I'm not for or against CISPA, but there are a couple of flaws in this article. The first story, whether or not it's right for government to go after a 13 year old, the fact remains what she did was illegal. If that same 13 year old sold drugs in her school there would be punishment and investigations. No one seems to

Someone else said it first, but learning to use paper maps helps!

Only if you pre-cache the maps of the area you want first. It's not automatic.

I work in a cloth covered cubicle with 6' walls AKA: The cone of silence

No mention of UbuntuOne for Ubuntu Linux and Windows with a IOS and Android support is a decent service too. 5 Gigs free and cheap for 20 Gig add-on packs for either $2.99 a month or $29.99 for a year. It offers music streaming, individual folder syncing and auto-upload for the mobile apps. Just another one to throw

I've done this on tool box handles and other boxes when they were made of thinner wire.

No Linux client....boo.....let's hope that changes because that will keep me on Dropbox for now.

I saw a Tweet earlier that it was available for Google Apps and has some kind of administrator console too.

Pizza + Merlot (or Tempranillo) is heaven! :)

Oh yay, so now it looks just like all the other save-it-later apps...... Not impressed and dumb name.

Stainless Steel faucet works too and is usually nearby.

I would be afraid my phone would pop out onto the ground. I designed one for my Droid3 that not only mounts on a tripod, but also will sit by itself. It uses the smallest size plastic carpenter clamps and can hold just about any phone fairly securely. Pics of my design: [picasaweb.google.com]

iTunes dropped DRM from their songs a few years ago. You can buy any song and play it on any device...even upload it to Google Music. They do use AAC for their format, but if you look at the properties of the song, it is no longer a protected AAC file.

Price and convenience are major players. Look at the music industry. I can buy a song for a reasonable price from lots of locations and play that song on just about any thing that will play a MP3. No need to take the risks of pirating and I and the music companies are happy (well maybe for them....they still grumble

If you live in the US, Batteries+ can replace the battery fairly cheap. The only downfall is you give them your shaver to about 3 days....so you go rough for a few days. Other places that specialize in batteries may be able to do the same.
