Dude, that's awesome!

Ideal water temp is between 195 and 205, much lower than a normal drip coffee maker. Another problem is usually the pre-bagged coffee at the store is old. Especially at grocery stores. There is a good chance that the coffee sitting on a grocery store shelf may be as old as 6 months. Places like Dunkin and Starbucks

When you use that alternate number to send a SMS to, they will see your GV#. You would have to SMS from the website first to get the alternate number for your contacts and make sure you save that under their contact.

Amen bro! I carry a Blackberry and use the GV app all the time. It separates my work life from personal life for one thing. Using GVMax and GTalk on the Blackberry I can SMS from GTalk...way better than BBs stinky built in SMS.

Evolution does have one plus and that is you can backup and sync your contacts to Ubuntu One's servers. Nice if you use more than one computer.

Tip: Load the video drivers right after you install Linux. That way if you futz it and you find yourself booting to the terminal, you can wipe and start over without having to set back up too much! I learned the hard way ;-)

The unclaimed money thing can be lucrative if you or a spouse sucks at money. I checked into it and netted $800 thanks to my spouse's sucky finances! Always pays to take a look. Just be sure to try maiden names too!

Yup....Google is open and you can chat with other XMPP clients like Jabber or even Cisco Presence. In fact I can send/receive chats and switch between clients from GMail chat, Windows GTalk client, GTalk on a Blackberry, Trillian on a Blackberry, and Empathy on a Linux machine! It's one of the reasons I convinced my

If I'm chatting on GTalk on my Blackberry, I can go to the computer and bring up GMail and click the person I'm chatting with. The conversation continues. Granted it's not actually "continuous" and is actually a new chat conversation, but still, I can switch back and forth between PC and phone. That works for me.

Yeah, the wording on the Flickr app needs to be worded not for "Windows 7" but for "Windows 7 Tablet Devices"! If you need a Windows 7 App for managing your Flickr account, Windows Live Photo Gallery (Part of the Live Essentials 2011) works great.

Been doing that with GTalk/Chat for awhile now. It's an awesome feature.

True statement on Linux fanboys and finding help, but I beg to differ on Googling for Windows answers. I find just as much non-help out there on Google with tons of content farms or pay for answers web sites (thank goodness for the Web of Trust plugin!). For Ubuntu users, I find the community forums on their own web

True statement, but I've found that if you stick to the Ubuntu Community help section if you are using Ubuntu, then it's not too bad finding good help. The problem is there are always a couple of ways to do things in Linux, so sometimes multiple answers are right. For instance one help article might have you dive into

I was tethering a Blackberry....never works out of the box due to the idiot drivers needed for the Blackberry. I was using Berry4all and it did dial and connect, but nothing else. I do have tethering on my Blackberry plan. I'm thinking Verizon is doing something to stop it, but not sure. They are weird with tethering.

Since I've pretty much gone to web apps, I'm OS blind so I use a mix of Win7 and Linux on various machines. To tell you the truth, I love the Linux machines more and only use Windows for two reasons, I need to occasionally tether a smart phone and have never gotten this to work right on Linux (though I'm still trying)

Tomboy Notes is built into Ubuntu and has a Windows version ([projects.gnome.org] It syncs across computers using Ubuntu One's free 2 gigs of storage space (that can be used for other things too like syncing contacts and music). And it's open source too!

I loaded the pic. Then went to Layers/Duplicate Layer. I turned off the original layer (background). I selected Properties from the layer toolbox (if it's not visible select Window/Layer and turn it on) and here I first renamed the layer (Paint.Net truly duplicates everything). On the same properties box you can
