I agree. I’ve had many a Kia and Hyundai rental and even those are pretty good. But based on the over-abundance of reports from people and their interactions with the dealerships, it puts me off putting one on a possible list of cars.

It’s not as bad as it used to be. Particularly since they started really being hard nosed about gate checking bags so no one should have more than one bag for the bins or one that won’t fit. Like I said for the MOST part, the plane winds up being boarded front to back. So the overhead bins generally get loaded that…
Southwest is generally pretty good about this, particularly when they know it’s a full flight. I see them gate check bags pretty regularly. Also, since most of the time the plane tends to fill front to back as people board (except for those of us that want to sit in the exit row when available) it’s not that bad. …
Not even a GTI or Golf R? I drove a newer one recently and was impressed. We owned an Mk6 for 100K miles and loved it. Great car.
Thanks for the tip. I never heard of this at the time.
I mean, that’s definitely part of it, but I had a 2008 A4 quattro (also full time AWD) and it got way better mileage than this thing, especially on the highway.
Yea, I have relatives in semi-rural Oregon and he keeps loaded weapons in every room of the house. The little town they live in (on the outer edge of) has very, very little crime. It’s all just families with multi-acre lots.
I like the way you think.
Our MK5 GTI was pretty uncomfortable for a passenger, including in the front seat. Older Corollas are awful in the back seat.
Does it still default to that in the 2014 3 series? The reason I ask is that my wife had a 2014 4 series and stop/start stayed disabled if you selected that no matter if you turned the car off/back on. I still have a 2013 X3 and I have to push it every time I start the car if I don’t want it selected. Her current…
Well, I heard they invented this thing called a thermos. It’s pretty good at keeping coffee hot.
Mr. Treehorn treats objects like women, man.
I don’t see too many of these here in San Diego. Maybe there are more up in LA.. The last time I saw one was when the guy I’ve had do HVAC work at my house came by to get me a quote on a new system (he’s actually very reasonable) pulled up in one. Guess his family business is doing well.
Ha, that’s how Campland in San Diego is. My brother and his wife took my nephew there for his birthday one year (they are also local) and we drove over there to have dinner and stuff. Kids love it because there are 1000 other kids running around and riding bikes, etc.. As an adult, that was NOT appealing at all.
When I was in HS and we would go to the beach, we’d sometime choose the one with the “cement boat”.
This Winterland show is so fire.
Trouble with you
Is the trouble with me
Got two good eyes
But you still don’t see
Come round the bend
You know it’s the end
The fireman screams
And the engine just gleams
take your star, sir.
I like “DOHC”. Totally necessary badge.
What’s wrong with you?
