And yet I see all kinds of trucks pulled in to spots the correct way. I mean, do whatever you want, but don’t hold people up and don’t park the wrong way if you’re going to be coming back out to your vehicle with a bunch of stuff to load up..  It doesn’t make sense.

So you are in fact intentionally trying to be dense.

I’ve been driving for 37 years and the number of people I’ve seen back into a spot the first time probably could be counted on one hand. And that’s after they’ve stopped (making people wait in the parking lot) beyond the parking space and then try and back in. Most back in parkers are clearly over-obsessed with doing

This is clearly a given.

I have to ask - how does backing in or parking ass-in by pulling forward help with being parked in?

They do, as a matter of fact.  I live in the USA, just used boot as shorthand..

To clarify what I meant - I’m not talking about getting in or out of the vehicle, I’m talking about putting shit in it when you’re done shopping. And if the car has limited space in the the trunk for any or all of the stuff you bought, you’re going to have to put them in the cabin.

Yea, either situation is weird.  Like, who traded this in at a Mazda dealership.  Did a Mazda dealer buy this at auction?  So many questions.  Also, the carfax sez “8 previous owners”.

With 25 years of wear.  Wait, what were we talking about?

Ha, that’s funny, I didn’t even really notice that when I replied.  :)

Most people I see doing it can’t get in on the first try.

Not if you’re surrounded by other cars.  I guess if you’re way out in the back of the lot with no one around you, fine.  Unless you stupidly parked ass-in to a tree island.

Hatch or trunk.

I’ve never understood people who do this. At any store where you’re going to bring stuff back to pack in your car. I don’t get parking ass-in anyway, but whatever. Seems like a weird obsession with some people. If it’s an easy job to get the car in, whatever. But the problem is when it’s a busy lot and you have someone

Yea, I love when I see ass-in vehicles parked at the Costco. These are people who are so obsessed with backing in, they overlook the fact that the doors and boot are facing the wrong way.

Funny the things you remember or that trigger a memory. I worked in a grocery store in the 80's and 90's and there was this Jack Palance looking guy who shopped there a couple times a week. He always bought Paul Mall Straights. He said “I figure, if I’m gonna to smoke, might as well get the full effect.”

Working from home policies all stem from how the company is able to manage it. The way I look at it is this - if you hire someone to do a particular job and a lot of it can be done from anywhere, not offering the flexibility to work remote at least some of the time is dumb. It’s a perk that costs the company nothing.

I know a guy that used to have full season baseball tix and he put them out there for friends to grab as he couldn’t go to all the games. I used to buy half a dozen games from him every year. They were excellent seats, I would argue they were the best from a viewing standpoint in that row in the entire stadium - as

This is a great comment - I also wish it wasn’t in the greys.
