I live in Southern CA and I refuse to use “the 5" or whatever. I’m originally from the Bay Area and that terminology is not used there. The only time they tack on “the” say, during traffic reports is if they are referring to the highway name. Like “The Bayshore Freeway”.

Same. Every time I drive a car with touch style infotainment system/screen, I’m generally disappointed. IDrive works really well. The wheel in the center console just makes the most sense.  I’m OK if you can do both, but touch only I do not like.
