I strongly urge you to never go to the island of Kauai. I love it there, but if you don’t like chickens, you’re going to have a BIG problem..

Traveling in style while going very fast frequently involves something along the lines of Gulfstream G5
I lean more your direction in so far as I’d rather have something that I’m not going to have to sink money into for maintenance. We have two cars at all times in our house that are considered daily drivers, though my wife drives every day - and not a lot of miles - and I have to have something ready at all times even…
The early boomers are going to be dying en mass in the next decade. There are more shifting into retirement now, but they will die eventually, too.
I was born too late to have seen those as released as well.
Hahaha.
Yea, I read about that guy. Even with him, I still lean towards smartass.. :)
That was a great episode.
Sorry, there’s something in between “systems that prioritize self interest” and “equality of outcomes at gunpoint.” BTW, it’s not just what I personally do, it’s supporting policy that’s good for the general populace. Like progressive rather than regressive taxes, raising the minimum wage, health care for all,…
I don’t think anyone believes that. They’re just trying to be smartasses. I mean, there might be a handful of complete morons that slept through school, but by and large, I don’t buy it.
Also a cranky old.
That’s a kind of frightening outlook. But whatever. Like I said, I’ve chosen my side, you’ve chosen yours. I’ll take the welfare of the general populace first.
We’re likely never going to agree for the most part. I’ll just say this - I decided a long time ago that I fall on the side of people having more power. And they don’t. Money is power, and the money is concentrated at the very top and because of things like Citizens United, the voice of the people and their needs are…
No one is suggesting that we create a world where it’s impossible to compete. But given the fact that they have ALL the say in how policy is made, that’s not a good thing. When one class owns the entire conversation, it’s only going to be for the direct benefit of a few people.
I’m not talking about participatory collective ownership - although for some businesses that might make sense - I’m talking about participating in the profits via better wages. There is zero reason for wages for working people too have been this flat/down in the USA. Except for greed and the fact that big business…
I guess that depends on how you look at it. Maybe this thing had been sitting around unsold and they wanted it off the lot so they threw it in on the deal. At least he’s now got more warranty time.
