Lots of people do temporary imports. All the R5 fiestas currently competing are doing that. There’s an i20 R5 here as well, a skoda fabia r5, the modified wrc fiesta, some two door fiesta protos in the past, etc etc

How was the ABS? Loose surfaces are always tricky. Did they have different modes for different surfaces, or just on/off?

Unfortunately not so happy right now, the transmission went out and it’s been sitting for way too long. Currently waiting for new headers to replace the stock ones that broke while removing the transmission
