You mean the reason why Television has been slowly dying?

But YouTube is replacing standard TV so using the standard TV model seems like a really stupid thing to do, people flock to YouTube for a reason. You’d think the smart thing to do for a forward thinking company would be to try and find a way to match advertisers with content creators that are appropriate for them

I am guessing you don’t understand fair use. Way to be part of the problem!

You actually have to be pretty engaging and relatable to make it anywhere on YouTube. Not sure where this “Socially inept” stigma came from, but its pretty far from the truth.

Jim Sterling had something to say about it and he doesn’t give half a shit about ad revenue and actively tries to deny ad revenue because certain corporations keep trying to take that revenue for themselves.

While YouTube has every right to regulate what kind of content appears on its site, we also have every right to criticize censoring that content because of concerns from advertisements, and advertisers have every right to make their continued payment for ads contingent on YouTube doing something like this.

I’m not sure where you got the idea that these people don’t work at their jobs. It takes hours to film, edit and upload a video to YouTube. Jacksepticeye, a popular content-creator on YouTube personally puts in twelve hours a day, most of that he’s admitted is actually editing the videos he’s producing. Not playing

This. I never understood why people think it’s not a real job, like they don’t see any effort doing these videos.

What? No these people will get production jobs, marketing jobs, and PR jobs. You’ll shovel garbage into your mouth because these people made a commercial that appealed to you.

No mansplainin’ needed. This whole blog post is preposterous.

I’d womansplain it to you but women don’t make sense. <3
