It all looks so... Beautiful... I wish I was rich as fuck. Yeah, I know everyone says that, but if I was rich I would spend my money on LEGO and not boring shit like cars and houses and stock markets... Bleah.

Eehh... Not really. Anything with millions of views is worth advertising your product on. I mean, your product is not going to get a bad reputation because it was advertised on an “offensive” video. Most sane people don’t look at it that way. And anyways, the amount of videos that are actually offensive enough to be a…
Ayy, what’s wrong with Boogie? I really enjoy his content, so I guess I’m just curious as to why you dislike it.
Your logic is sound in theory, but not in execution. Advertisers are already earning so much from these supposed “offensive” videos. They’re just fucking with their own profits now, and they’re going to lose money on this, for definite. You also have to remember that not ever youtube channel is based around discussing…
That is true in theory, but so many videos are getting hit for no reason. Kotaku is playing Devil’s Advocate. This is a really shitty situation.
Taking away monetisation isn’t going to give you more original content. Actually, there is PLENTY of original content on the site, just because all you watch is reaction videos doesn’t mean other kinds of content doesn’t exist. Taking away monetisation will just remove a lot of motivation to make original content. And…
You clearly have not seen any decent videos have you? Youtube has comedians, animators, filmmakers and all sorts of other content. It’s not just rich 14 year olds making 5 minute vlogs.
Yeah, you won’t make anything BECAUSE you’re just starting out. In the past year alone many channels have blown up from nothing and now have several million subscribers. You don’t earn anything right away (fucking obviously) but you have to keep producing videos until you get recognition.
It’s as much of a real job as any other. These people are creating great content, and their talents would be wasted elsewhere. Just because you’re stuck with a depressing construction or office job, doesn’t mean people who are creative and can make good videos have no real life skills.
Dude, don’t be a fucking idiot. There are so much more videos to watch than just reaction videos. If that’s all you’re seeing, you’re looking in the wrong places. And hey, the monetisation of videos has been one of the best things to happen to the site. People who’s talents would have been wasted elsewhere are able to…
Yeah, but this makes no sense. Advertisers are already earning so much from the sort of content you see on youtube now... All they’re doing is decreasing their profits because a lot of that content will cease to exist.
Bullshit. Advertisers are already making shit loads of money from these channels that are not “advertiser friendly”. All they’re doing is decreasing their profits, because like the article said, almost every video worth watching violates these rules somewhat. I don’t want youtube to become TV. TV is shit.
The only thing more hilarious than this ridiculous article is the amount of mentally ill circus freaks trying to defend it :3
