1st gear: it's a consumer product! Whining that consumers don't know how to use what you designed for them, sold to them, and for which you took their money is simply invalid. Either teach them how to use the tech if its so awesome or reassess whether it belongs in the car in the first place.

I agree with you, but I'd like more context for this story. I'm always a bit suspicious of someone taking the media to task. Was it warranted? What was in the story that triggered it? Did Jalopnik's (overdone, sensationalistic) coverage bother him similarly? (sorry, Matt; it was)

I like "handy" as a noun better than as an adjective.

Glad to hear it.

So, are you back back or just temping? This piece was heartwarming, which I suspect is just camouflage for bragging about getting laid in Palm Springs.

AutoTrader is the internet's premier home for sellers who are delusional about the values of their cars. I have no explanation for this. I don't know why they would all congregate in one place, but they do. Crazed dealers apparently trolling for a sucker; foam-flecked fanbois nursing semis over their cars'

I was all primed to come in here and defend some worthy car you had maligned. Can't do it. List is perfect. What an awful collection of crap.

The internet doesn't seem to know, but this Motor Trend piece on Adam West bolsters the Chrysler connection:

I generally have no problem with product placement. Sometimes it's even fun. This, though, is terrible. Bruce Wayne driving a Chrysler? It's distracting.

Great write up.

To the extent they're still with us.

Jorts, a Pontiac, tire smoke, and idiocy. The '90s version of Remembrance of Things Past is way shorter.

Anyone else think the space farthest from the entrance would be a complete bitch to deal with?

That's hysterical. I can't wait to read Xinhua stories made for the US market.

Although, I have absolutely no doubt that the Chinese media is spinning it to make it sound like they beat the record.

It wouldn't even be a nice price if it were unmolested. 930s that old sometimes come up for $25K.

4th Gear: Did I miss something? Toyota's cars seem to have done pretty damn well at Le Mans to me. One got Ferraried, and the other had a failure of the nut behind the wheel. Both were fast.

Whatever could you be talking about?

thx

Micheline, do you have an opinion on why major manufacturers aren't competing for the JLTV?
